     Mercy Cowles was the daughter of Samuel Cowles III and Sarah Wadsworth.

     Samuel Cowles III was born on 16 May 1692 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Samuel Cowles Jr. and Rachel Porter. Samuel Cowles III died on 9 July 1777 at Kensington, Hartford Co., CT, at age 85.

     Samuel Cowles Jr. was born on 17 March 1661/62 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Samuel Cowles and Abigail Stanley. Samuel Cowles Jr. married Rachel Porter, daughter of Thomas Porter and Sarah Hart, on 12 May 1685 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT. Samuel Cowles Jr. died on 14 October 1748 at Kensington, Hartford Co., CT, at age 86.

     Rachel Porter was the daughter of Thomas Porter and Sarah Hart. Rachel Porter married Samuel Cowles Jr., son of Samuel Cowles and Abigail Stanley, on 12 May 1685 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT.

     Sarah Hart was the daughter of Stephen Hart.

     Aaron Cooke married Elizabeth Charde on 2 September 1610 at Thorncombe, Dorset, England.

     A farmer at Northampton, and a deacon in Jonathan Edwards' church. John Clark Jr. was born on 28 December 1679. He was the son of Deacon John Clark and Mary Strong. John Clark Jr. married Elizabeth Cooke, daughter of Noah Cooke and Sarah Nash, on 31 October 1704. John Clark Jr. died on 3 August 1768 at age 88.

     Elizabeth Cooke was born in 1685. She was the daughter of Noah Cooke and Sarah Nash. Elizabeth Cooke married John Clark Jr., son of Deacon John Clark and Mary Strong, on 31 October 1704. Elizabeth Cooke died on 18 October 1761.

     Noah Cooke was the son of Aaron Cooke Jr. and Joan Denslow.

     Aaron Cooke Jr. was the son of Aaron Cooke and Elizabeth Charde.

     Eliakim Clark married Esther Wright. Eliakim Clark was born on 6 October 1707. He was the son of John Clark Jr. and Elizabeth Cooke. Eliakim Clark died on 17 January 1781 at age 73.

     Esther Wright married Eliakim Clark, son of John Clark Jr. and Elizabeth Cooke.

     Asahel Clark was the son of Eliakim Clark and Esther Wright. Asahel Clark married Submit Clapp, daughter of Jonathan Clapp and Submit Strong.

     Preserved Clapp was born on 23 November 1643. He was the son of Capt. Roger Clapp and Joanna Ford. Preserved Clapp married Sarah Newberry, daughter of Benjamin Newberry and Mary Allyn, on 4 June 1668 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Preserved Clapp died on 20 September 1720 at age 76.

     Sarah Newberry was born on 5 June 1650. She was the daughter of Benjamin Newberry and Mary Allyn. Sarah Newberry married Preserved Clapp, son of Capt. Roger Clapp and Joanna Ford, on 4 June 1668 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Sarah Newberry died on 3 October 1716 at age 66.

     Roger Clapp was the son of Preserved Clapp and Sarah Newberry.

     Jonathan Clapp was the son of Roger Clapp and Elizabeth Bartlett. Jonathan Clapp married Submit Strong, daughter of Waitstill Strong and Mindwell Bartlett.

     Waitstill Strong was born in 1677. He was the son of Thomas Strong and Rachel Holton. Waitstill Strong died on 13 November 1762 at Northampton, MA.

     Submit Strong was the daughter of Waitstill Strong and Mindwell Bartlett. Submit Strong married Jonathan Clapp, son of Roger Clapp and Elizabeth Bartlett.

     Submit Clapp was the daughter of Jonathan Clapp and Submit Strong. Submit Clapp married Asahel Clark, son of Eliakim Clark and Esther Wright.

     Bohan Clark was the son of Asahel Clark and Submit Clapp. Bohan Clark married Mary White, daughter of Enoch White and Susanna Goodman.

     Esther Clapp was born in 1656. She was the daughter of Edward Clapp. Esther Clapp married Samuel Strong, son of Elder John Strong and Abigail Ford, on 19 June 1684. Esther Clapp died on 26 January 1698.

     Esther Strong was born on 30 April 1685. She was the daughter of Samuel Strong and Esther Clapp. Esther Strong married Nathaniel White Jr., son of Deacon Nathaniel White and Elizabeth Savage, on 10 May 1709. Esther Strong died on 11 August 1756 at age 71.

     Nathaniel White Jr. was born on 4 November 1680. He was the son of Deacon Nathaniel White and Elizabeth Savage. Nathaniel White Jr. married Esther Strong, daughter of Samuel Strong and Esther Clapp, on 10 May 1709. Nathaniel White Jr. died on 28 May 1762 at age 81.

     Jonathan White was born on 29 January 1717. He was the son of Nathaniel White Jr. and Esther Strong. Jonathan White died on 2 August 1789 at age 72.

     Enoch White was the son of Jonathan White and Lydia Rugg.

     Mary White was the daughter of Enoch White and Susanna Goodman. Mary White married Bohan Clark, son of Asahel Clark and Submit Clapp.

     Luther Clapp Clark was the son of Bohan Clark and Mary White.

     George Crawford Clark was the son of Luther Clapp Clark and Julia Crawford.

     Edith Gilbert Clark was the daughter of George Crawford Clark and Harriet Seymour Averell.

     Nancy Seymour Fincke was the daughter of Reginald Fincke and Edith Gilbert Clark.

     Joanna Gillett was born on 28 October 1680 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Josiah Gillett and Joanna Taintor.¹ Joanna Gillett married Josiah Strong, son of John Strong Jr. and Elizabeth Warriner, on 5 January 1698 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.^2,1

Joanna and Josiah had 13 children.

     Damaris Strong was the daughter of Josiah Strong and Joanna Gillett. Damaris Strong married Samuel Calkins Jr., son of Samuel Calkins and Hannah Gifford.

     Samuel Calkins Jr. was the son of Samuel Calkins and Hannah Gifford. Samuel Calkins Jr. married Damaris Strong, daughter of Josiah Strong and Joanna Gillett.

     Hannah Gifford was the daughter of Stephen Gifford and Hannah Gore.
