     Mary Talcott was born circa 1624 at Braintree, Essex, England. She was the daughter of John Talcott Most Worshipful and Dorothy Mott.

     Lt. Col. John Talcott was born circa 1628 at Braintree, Essex, England. He was the son of John Talcott Most Worshipful and Dorothy Mott. Lt. Col. John Talcott married Helena Wakeman, daughter of Rev. John Wakeman, on 29 October 1650 at Hartford, CT, USA. Lt. Col. John Talcott married Mary Cooke, daughter of Joseph Cooke and Elizabeth Haynes, in 1676 at presumably Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Helena Wakeman was the daughter of Rev. John Wakeman. Helena Wakeman married Lt. Col. John Talcott, son of John Talcott Most Worshipful and Dorothy Mott, on 29 October 1650 at Hartford, CT, USA.

     Mary Cooke was born in 1647.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Cooke and Elizabeth Haynes. Mary Cooke married Lt. Col. John Talcott, son of John Talcott Most Worshipful and Dorothy Mott, in 1676 at presumably Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Prudence Goodrich was born on 18 June 1701.¹ She was the daughter of Col. David Goodrich and Prudence Churchill. Prudence Goodrich married David Hubbard before 1736. Prudence Goodrich married Judah Holcombe, son of Lt. Nathaniel Holcombe and Martha Buell, after 11 March 1765 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT; from MC CRACKEN

m. (2) Prudence Goodrich, widow of David Hubbard, though I have a note, not now verifiable, that Bailey says he m. (2) at Granby, 30 June 1774, Anna Hubbard.² Prudence Goodrich died on 29 November 1783 at age 82.¹ She was buried at Eastbury Cemetery, Glastonbury, Hartford Co., CT; Data from the USGenWeb site that supplements the 1987 book by Frederick and Jessica Sawyer, titled ""Eastbury Cemetery, An Outdoor Museum.""

     Children are listed in the Ellsworth Genealogy and Burke. Josias Ellsworth was born on 5 November 1655 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. Josias Ellsworth married Martha Gaylord, daughter of Samuel Gaylord and Elizabeth Hull, on 30 October 1679 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Josias Ellsworth died on 4 May 1706 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 50.

     Elizabeth Ellsworth was born on 11 November 1657 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. Elizabeth Ellsworth married Lt. Nathaniel Loomis, son of Nathaniel Loomis and Elizabeth Moore, on 23 December 1680. Elizabeth Ellsworth died in 1743.

Stiles says no issue. No children listed in the Ellsworth Genealogy. Bates lists Rebecca. The Loomis genealogy says no children.

     Mary Ellsworth was born on 7 May 1660 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. Mary Ellsworth married Sgt. Daniel Loomis, son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott, on 23 December 1680.

The Ellsworth Homestead is the home of the Abigal Wolcott Chapter of the Connecticut DAR. Children are listed in Stiles.

     Martha Ellsworth was born on 7 December 1662 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. Martha Ellsworth married Sgt. John Osborn, son of John Osborn and Ann Oldage, circa 1690.³

The children are listed in the Ellsworth Genealogy and Stiles. Stiles lists 2 twin sons b. and d. February 3, 1692, then Isaac, Mary and Jacob. Weir states that Martha married Samuel Stiles in 1701 and George Norton in 1707, but Bowman thinks that Martha is the first child of Josiah Ellsworth II.

Laquer goes into extensive detail to show that Martha married John Osborn and that it was Martha, the daughter of Josiah (Josias) II that married Samuel Stiles in December 1701.

     Thomas Ellsworth was born on 2 September 1665 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.⁵ He was the son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. Thomas Ellsworth married Sarah Mills, daughter of Simon Mills and Mary Buell, on 24 July 1691. Thomas Ellsworth married Deborah (?)

A carpenter by trade. The children were listed in the Ellsworth Genealogy and taken from his estate settlement.

     Jonathan Ellsworth was born on 28 June 1669. He was the son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. Jonathan Ellsworth married Sarah Grant, daughter of Tahan Grant and Hannah Palmer, on 26 October 1693 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Jonathan Ellsworth died on 13 September 1749 at age 80.

Jonathan was a partner in a saw mill and grist mill, and operated a tavern and small store. He died in 1749 when thrown from a horse at age 80. The children are listed in the Ellsworth Genealogy.

     John Ellsworth was born on 7 October 1671. He was the son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. John Ellsworth married Esther White, daughter of Lt. Daniel White and Sarah Crow, on 9 December 1696. John Ellsworth died on 26 October 1720 at age 49.

John was one of the largest land holders in Windsor, He settled in Ellington, CT. He died of a falling of a tree. The children are listed in the Ellsworth Genealogy.

Inventory of John's estate was taken 18 Nov 1720 by Nathaniel Loomis, Samuel Rockwell and David Bissell. Esther and John Ellsworth II were appointed guardians of Anna, and Esther and Daniel were appointed guardians of Martha. Danile White, Jonathan Elsworth and David Bissell were appointed distributors. The two farms were distributed to the two sons and "they paying to the daughters their portional parts, there being no objection, this Court os order." ²

     Following children are listed in the Ellsworth Genealogy. Job Ellsworth was born on 13 April 1674. He was the son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe. Job Ellsworth married Mary Trumbull, daughter of Joseph Trumbull and Hannah Smith, on 19 December 1695. Job Ellsworth married Sarah Warner, daughter of Robert Warner and Elizabeth Grant, in October 1711. Job Ellsworth died on 29 September 1751 at age 77.

     Benjamin Ellsworth was born on 19 January 1676. He was the son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe.

     Ruth Sherwood was born circa 1642 at probably Fairfield, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Thomas Sherwood of Fairfield and Mary Onge. Ruth Sherwood married Joshua Holcombe, son of Thomas Holcombe and Elizabeth (?), on 4 June 1663 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Ruth Sherwood died on 10 September 1699 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was buried at Granby Center Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^2,3

Mary was Thomas' second wife, they lived in Fairfield.

     Martha Cogan was also known as Martha Cozzens. She was born in 1648 at Taunton, New Plymouth Col., MA. She was the daughter of Thomas Coggan and Joan (?) Martha Cogan married Sgt. Peter Buell, son of William Buell and Mary Post, on 31 March 1670 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Martha Cogan died on 22 May 1686 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

     Mary Post was born circa 1620 at England.¹ She married William Buell, son of Sir Robert Bevill and Catherine Goode, on 18 November 1640 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² Mary Post died on 1 September 1684 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     James Green McCafferty was born circa 1790. He died at Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland.

Little is known about this McCafferty ancestor except that he was supposed to have 11 sons and two daughters. His first name, James, is a guess. it is believed that he lived in Ballyshanon (Beal Atha Seanaidh) in County donegal and was probably a tenant farmer. Ballyshannon is at the mouth of the River Erne on Donegal Bay. He lived before the establishment of the current civil parishes, but the town is now included in two parishes. Town of Ballyshannon (the West Rock) is part of Inishmacsaint parish. The Chapel Lane, Church Lane, Main Street Upper and the Mall areas of Ballyshannon are in the Kilbarron parish (although only Chapel Lane is a Roman Catholic area). Some descendants moved a few miles east on the south of the River to the Lissahully area.

     Possibly died in New Orleans, La., USA. Margaret McCafferty died at possibly New Orleans, La., USA. She was born circa 1811 at Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland. She was the daughter of James Green McCafferty.

     Michael McCafferty was born circa 1818. He was the son of James Green McCafferty. Michael McCafferty died on 29 June 1889 at Lissahully, County Donegal, Ireland.

     Possibly died in Mobile County, Ala., USA. John McCafferty died at possibly Mobile County, AL, USA. He was born circa 1819. He was the son of James Green McCafferty.

     Michael McCafferty was born circa 1840. He was the son of Michael McCafferty and Sarah McNeely.

     James McCafferty was born circa 1841 at Cherry Mount, County Donegal, Ireland. He was the son of Michael McCafferty and Sarah McNeely. James McCafferty died in February 1911 at Glenties, County Donegal, Ireland.

     Patrick McCafferty was born circa 1842 at Cherry Mount, County Donegal, Ireland. He was the son of Michael McCafferty and Sarah McNeely. Patrick McCafferty died on 10 August 1914 at Lissahully, County Conegal, Ireland.
