Nora D. was enumerated in the 1920 Henry, Clay Co., WV, federal census, age 48, widowed, managing a farm. Children in the household were John K. 22, Viola 24, Lola 19, Elisha 17, Tommy 15, Julia 13, and Daisy 11.

     Cassius Marcellus Holcombe was born in 1850 at PA.¹ He was the son of Harvey Holcombe and Diana Rockwell.¹ Cassius Marcellus Holcombe married Rose Ida Belle Allyn on 25 March 1871 at LeRoy, Bradford Co., PA.² Cassius Marcellus Holcombe died in 1910 at Tucker Co., WV.

     Frances Holcombe was born on 8 June 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Paschal Holcombe and Elizabeth J. Kyle.¹

     Rebecca Dunford married Terrance Clayborn Holcombe, son of Ezekiel Holcombe and Rachel Neal.¹

     Mary Ann Humphrey was born on 19 December 1860 at Nicholas Co., WV.¹ She married Terrance Clayborn Holcombe, son of Ezekiel Holcombe and Rachel Neal, circa 1890.¹ Mary Ann Humphrey was buried at Holcomb Memorial Gardens, Bickmore, Clay Co., WV. She died on 21 April 1929 at Clay Co., WV, at age 68.¹

     Mary Melcena Holcombe was born on 15 April 1903 at Clay Co., WV.¹ She was the daughter of Terrance Clayborn Holcombe and Mary Ann Humphrey. Mary Melcena Holcombe married George Samuel Davis on 2 January 1922 at Kanawha Co., WV. Mary Melcena Holcombe married (?) Welcher. Mary Melcena Holcombe died on 8 September 1997 at Rogers, Columbiana Co., OH, at age 94.

The family has not yet been located in the 1940 census so is is not possible to document possible other children: eorge, Paul D. Oliver, Bobbie, and Milford H.

     John M. Holcombe was born circa 1851. He was the son of John B. Holcombe and Jane Smith.

Children in the household were George W. 21, William F. 18, James A. 16, Dora A. 12, and Robert L. 7. They were again enumerated in Pleasant in the 1910 federal census. He was a farmer age 54, she was 52. Also in the household were son Robert L. 16, and mother-lin-law Nancy Sizemore 78. Enumerated nearby were "Wash G.", William F., and James A. in separarte households. James and Mary were still in Pleasant for the 1920 federal census. He was 64 she was 62. Living nearby were George W., and James A. Jr.
