     Sarah Worthington Goodrich was born on 7 August 1785 at New Haven, New Haven Co., CT. She was the daughter of Rev. Samuel Goodrich and Elizabeth Ely.² Sarah Worthington Goodrich married Frederick Wolcott, son of Gov. Oliver Wolcott and Laura Collins, on 21 June 1815 at Berlin, Hartford Co., CT.² Sarah Worthington Goodrich died on 14 September 1842 at Litchfield, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 57.

     Richard Thornton Fisher married Georgina Paine, daughter of Charles Jackson Paine and Julia Bryant.

     Georgina Paine was the daughter of Charles Jackson Paine and Julia Bryant. Georgina Paine married Richard Thornton Fisher.

     Charles Jackson Paine was the son of Charles Cushing Paine and Frances Cabot Jackson.

     Charles Cushing Paine was born on 11 July 1808 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA. He was the son of Charles Paine and Sarah Sumner Cushing. Charles Cushing Paine died on 4 January 1874 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, at age 65.

     Charles Paine was born on 10 August 1775 at Taunton, MA. He was the son of Robert Treat Paine and Sarah Cobb. Charles Paine died on 15 February 1810 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, at age 34.

     Robert Treat Paine was born on 11 March 1731 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA. He was the son of Rev. Thomas Paine and Eunice Treat. Robert Treat Paine died on 11 May 1814 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, at age 83.

Robert was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

He had a fine secondary education at the Boston Latin School and went on to graduate from Harvard in 1749 at the age of eighteen. Paine had been trained for the ministry and served as Chaplain of the military expedition to Crown Point in 1755. However, during college, he had become interested in the law and, after study, was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1757. He opened a law office in Taunton, MA in 1761.²

He was a friend of both John Adams and John Hancock and soon found himself enmeshed in the controversy with England over taxation and citizen rights. He was elected as a delegate to both the First and Second continental Congress. He was present when the issue of Independence was voted upon in July 1776.²


He served as speaker of the Assembly of the State of Massachusetts in 1777, and following the War was appointed by Governor Hancock to the Supreme Court of the State in 1790. Paine continued in this service for fourteen years until an increasing problem of deafness caused him to retire from the bench and return to his scientific pursuits, reading, and writing. He had been much interested in Astronomy and was a founder of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.²

     Theodore Chamberlin Jr. was born on 30 November 1902 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA. He was the son of Dr. Theodore Chamberlin and Anne Locke Bixby. Theodore Chamberlin Jr. married Helen Adele Elizabeth van Löben Sels, daughter of Maurits Carel Constantijn van Löben Sels and Helen Adelaide Ellsworth, on 7 March 1935 at Amistad in Vorden, CA. Theodore Chamberlin Jr. died on 28 July 1978 at age 75.

     Dr. Theodore Chamberlin was the son of Seth Chamberlin and Sophia Long Dean. Dr. Theodore Chamberlin married Anne Locke Bixby, daughter of Llewellyn Bixby and Mary Hathaway.

     Anne Locke Bixby was the daughter of Llewellyn Bixby and Mary Hathaway. Anne Locke Bixby married Dr. Theodore Chamberlin, son of Seth Chamberlin and Sophia Long Dean.

     Anne Bixby Chamberlin was born on 15 January 1936 at Santa Barbara, CA. She was the daughter of Theodore Chamberlin Jr. and Helen Adele Elizabeth van Löben Sels. Anne Bixby Chamberlin died on 20 November 1937 at Santa Barbara, CA, at age 1.

     Helen Ellsworth Chamberlin was born on 5 October 1937 at Santa Barbara, CA. She was the daughter of Theodore Chamberlin Jr. and Helen Adele Elizabeth van Löben Sels. Helen Ellsworth Chamberlin married William James Heyden, son of Rudolph E. Heyden and Willette March, on 30 June 1962. Helen Ellsworth Chamberlin died on 8 July 2002 at age 64.

     Maurits Carel Chamberlin was born on 10 November 1945 at Lompoc, CA. He was the son of Theodore Chamberlin Jr. and Helen Adele Elizabeth van Löben Sels. Maurits Carel Chamberlin died on 17 February 1952 at age 6.

     Walter Willis Tryon was born on 16 February 1909 at San Leandro, Alameda Co., CA. He was the son of John Benjamin Tryon and Julia Corcoran. Walter Willis Tryon married Lucy Lois van Löben Sels, daughter of Maurits Carel Constantijn van Löben Sels and Helen Adelaide Ellsworth, on 14 June 1941 at Amistad, Sacramento Co., CA.
