     Ada Agnes Ellsworth was born on 9 September 1884 at Brookwood Farm, Deer Park, La Salle Co., IL.¹ She was the daughter of Urban Steve Ellsworth and Victoria Bessie Gibbs.¹ Ada Agnes Ellsworth died on 4 January 1948 at People's Hospital, Peru, IL, at age 63; unmarried.¹

Ada never married. Her life seemed taken up with the pleasant things of life. She and her sister and her mother, while she lived, loved the beauty of flowers and a well set table using only the finest tableware including fine china, sterling silver and crystal for each and every meal, even when there would only be one to sit down to eat.


Dorothy seemed more the indoor type, while Ada liked nothing better than to be grubbing around in her precious flower beds, which she kept beautifully tended. She was a dear friend of the Deer Park Baptist church and the Ladies Mission Society. Ada was a very active person and had a very pleasant personality. She and her sister were both nice looking with beautifully coiffed hair, which they wore long and done in a nice knot at back of head, but, most attractive was the fact that they always stayed so straight and slim. ¹

     Dorothy Rachel Ellsworth was born on 31 May 1890.¹ She was the daughter of Urban Steve Ellsworth and Victoria Bessie Gibbs.¹ Dorothy Rachel Ellsworth died on 16 January 1948 at age 57; unmarried.¹

     Orrin William Ellsworth was born on 11 August 1855.¹ He was the son of William Anson Ellsworth and Lydia Clark.¹ Orrin William Ellsworth married Agnes Baird.¹

     Orpha Pinney was born on 14 October 1805 at MA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Elisha Pinney and Rachel Belden.² Orpha Pinney married Philemon Andrus, son of Philemon Andrus and Phebe Case, on 29 January 1821.¹ Orpha Pinney died on 2 February 1885 at Summit, Erie Co., PA, at age 79.² She was buried at Tallmadge Cemetery, McKean Twp., Erie Co., PA.²

     Jane M. Andrus was born on 3 May 1827.¹ She was the daughter of Philemon Andrus and Orpha Pinney.¹ Jane M. Andrus married James Robinson on 12 January 1856.¹ Jane M. Andrus died on 14 January 1909 at Erie Co., PA, at age 81.¹ She was buried on 16 January 1909 at Dunn Valley Cemetery, McKean, Erie Co., PA.¹

Morton on 10 October 1873 at Erie City, Erie Co., PA.¹ Eva Ann Robinson died on 18 March 1938 at McKean, Erie Co., PA, at age 81.¹ She was buried on 21 March 1938 at Sterrettania, Erie Co., PA.¹

     Otis D. Morton was born on 21 February 1852 at Shutsbury, MA.¹ He married Eva Ann Robinson, daughter of James Robinson and Jane M. Andrus, on 10 October 1873 at Erie City, Erie Co., PA.¹ Otis D. Morton died on 13 February 1917 at McKean, Erie Co., PA, at age 64.¹ He was buried on 26 February 1917 at Sterrettania, Erie Co., PA.¹

     Hariett Jane Morton was born on 27 August 1873 at Erie Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Otis D. Morton and Eva Ann Robinson.¹ Hariett Jane Morton married Charles Henry Michael, son of Casper Michael and Elizabeth Weiss, on 19 December 1895 at McKean, Erie Co., PA.¹ Hariett Jane Morton died on 30 June 1957 at Lutheran Home for the Aged, Erie, Erie Co., PA, at age 83; of a Cerebral Thrombosis.¹ She was buried on 3 July 1957 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Millcreek, Erie Co., PA.¹

     Major James Stephen Bulloch was the son of Archibald Bulloch. Major James Stephen Bulloch married Martha (?)¹ Major James Stephen Bulloch died in February 1849.¹

Starting in 1839, James Bulloch built a Classic Greek Revival mansion west of the Chattahoochee just off the town square. Unlike most of the homes in north Georgia, Bulloch Hall was built by slave labor. The mansion was completed in 1840 and immediately occupied by the major, his wife and their children, including Martha (Mittie) and a newborn, Charles, who would sadly become the first person to die in Roswell (1840). Major Bulloch was a shareholder of the Roswell Manufacturing Company.

As the town grew Bulloch played an important role. He helped form the Presbyterian Church and build the church. In February, 1849, Major Bulloch died, leaving his wife with little cash to pay for day to day necessities. Archibald Howell, a neighbor who lived in Marietta (history of Marietta) came to her rescue with a loan against the value of Bulloch Hall. ¹

     Archibald Bulloch died on 22 February 1777.¹

To those unfamiliar with Georgia history the state might not exist today had it not been for Archibald Bulloch, an early leader in the revolutionary movement in Georgia. This Radical actively sought ways to irk Royal Governor James Wright. He was one of the four who called an organizing meeting at Tondee's Tavern in 1774 and was selected as a representative to the Second Continental Congress to sign the Declaration of Independence. Bulloch turned down this final honor because of pressing issues in the state. He read the document to a gathered crowd in August, 1776, and was appointed executive of the state on February 22, 1777. He died under unusual circumstances the same day.

Archibald Bulloch's son James was 13 when the British took Savannah as part of a southern strategy during the American Revolution. He fled the state, later returning to hold high public office. His son, James Stephen, was the builder of Bulloch Hall. ¹

     Charles Bulloch was the son of Major James Stephen Bulloch.¹ Charles Bulloch died in 1840 at Roswell, Cobb (now Fulton) Co., GA.

     Martha (?) married Major James Stephen Bulloch, son of Archibald Bulloch.¹ Martha (?) died in October 1864.¹

     Alice Lee married President Theodore Roosevelt Jr., son of Theodore Roosevelt Sr. and Martha Bulloch. Alice Lee died on 14 February 1884; Bright's Disease.

     Alice Lee Roosevelt was born on 12 February 1884 at New York City, NY. She was the daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and Alice Lee. Alice Lee Roosevelt died on 20 February 1980 at Washington, DC, at age 96.

     General Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was born on 13 September 1887 at Sagamore Hill, Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY. He was the son of President Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and Edith Kermit Carow. General Theodore Roosevelt Jr. died on 12 July 1944 at Normandy, France, at age 56; of a heart attack.

     Ethel Roosevelt was born on 13 August 1891. She was the daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and Edith Kermit Carow. Ethel Roosevelt died on 10 December 1977 at age 86.

     Kermit Roosevelt was born on 10 October 1889 at Sagamore Hill, Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY. He was the son of President Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and Edith Kermit Carow. Kermit Roosevelt died on 4 June 1943 at Ft. Richardson, AK, at age 53.

     Archibald Bulloch Roosevelt was born on 9 April 1894 at Washington, DC. He was the son of President Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and Edith Kermit Carow. Archibald Bulloch Roosevelt died on 13 October 1979 at Hobe Sound, Palm Springs, FL, at age 85.

     Quentin Roosevelt was born on 19 November 1897. He was the son of President Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and Edith Kermit Carow. Quentin Roosevelt died on 14 July 1918 at age 20; shot down while on acitve duty in WWI. He was buried at U. S. Military Cemetery, Colville, France.

     Herbert E. Andrus was also known as Bert E. Andrus. He was born on 13 June 1861 at Summit, Erie Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Orson B. Andrus and Lydia Marie Wood.¹ Herbert E. Andrus married Ellen M. Stanton on 25 February 1886 at Summit, Erie Co., PA.¹ Herbert E. Andrus died on 21 February 1925 at Summit, Erie Co., PA, at age 63.¹
