     Charles Ramsey Hall was born on 29 October 1916.^1,2 He married Patricia Olive Hayes, daughter of Daniel Hayes VI and Blanche Munn, on 7 January 1939.¹ Charles Ramsey Hall died on 19 April 1996 at Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Co, CA, at age 79.²

     Vashti Griswold was born on 26 September 1786.¹ She was the daughter of Phineas Griswold II and Vashti Bates.¹ Vashti Griswold died on 17 October 1843 at age 57.¹

George and Charlotte settled first in Simsbury but later moved to Windsor, Ohio about 1799 where he became a prominent and leading citizen. George served as clerk of court of Ashtabula County.

Edward Griswold and Abigail Phelps, on 27 April 1780 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Abiah Allen died on 31 January 1797.¹ She was buried at St. Andrews Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Judson Phelps was born circa 1783 at CT.^1,2 He married Charlotte Phelps, daughter of George R. Phelps and Charlotte Griswold.¹

     Solomon Griswold was born circa 1756 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Capt. Edward Griswold and Abigail Phelps.¹ Solomon Griswold married Abiah Allen, daughter of Solomon Allen and Abiah (?), on 27 April 1780 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.² Solomon Griswold died on 16 May 1834 at Ashtabula Co., OH.²

Solomon served in the Revolution under Capt. Noah Phelps, Col. Andrew Wood in 1776, 1777 and 1778. The DAR Patriot Index gives his service as Deputy Quarter Master General, and indicates he received a pension which is also on file at the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland. It shows he had been wounded in service.

About 1800, he moved to Ohio and settled at Windsor, Ashtabula County. He built the first cabin there and gave land for the first cemetery. He was largely instrumental in the upbuilding of the community, and served as Justice of the Peace for many years. In 1809, he served as Senator of the Ohio Congress. The record states that he arrived in Ohio with his six motherless daughters. He is recorded on the Soldiers Monument in Windsor Cemetery at Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH as a Revolutionary soldier. ³

     Laura Abia Griswold was born circa 29 November 1780.¹ She was the daughter of Solomon Griswold and Abiah Allen.¹ Laura Abia Griswold died on 27 May 1874.¹

     Simeon Griswold was born on 27 July 1765 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Capt. Edward Griswold and Abigail Phelps.¹ Simeon Griswold married Lucretia Warner on 18 May 1790.² Simeon Griswold died on 25 September 1843 at age 78.²

Although the census of 1810 shows a wife and three daughters, his will mentions no children of his own, they evidently having died prior to 1843. The will includes his wife Lucretia; children of his brother Solomon; children of Kaziah Highley, daughter of Solomon; children of his brother Edward; and Susan B. Neal a member of his household. Lucretia's will mentions members of her family; and Susan B., adopted daughter, wife of Charles R. Fisher. They had three children, two identified. ³

     Harriet Abiah Griswold was born on 21 February 1781.¹ She was the daughter of Solomon Griswold and Abiah Allen.¹ Harriet Abiah Griswold died on 23 January 1852 at age 70.¹

     Keziah Griswold was born on 24 April 1784.¹ She was the daughter of Solomon Griswold and Abiah Allen.¹ Keziah Griswold died on 14 August 1816 at age 32.¹

     Ursula Griswold was born on 24 April 1784.¹ She was the daughter of Solomon Griswold and Abiah Allen.¹ Ursula Griswold died in February 1871 at age 86.¹

     Lucretia Warner was born on 15 October 1763 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She married Simeon Griswold, son of Capt. Edward Griswold and Abigail Phelps, on 18 May 1790.¹ Lucretia Warner died on 13 May 1860 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 96.¹

     Dr. Gideon Case was born on 26 February 1779 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Jesse Case and Sarah Humphrey.¹ Dr. Gideon Case married Persis Seward, daughter of John Seward and Ann Coe.² Dr. Gideon Case died on 11 May 1822 at Hudson, Summit Co., OH, at age 43.²

Dr. Case was a Surgeon's Mate in the 18th Regiment of Miitia from 1804 to 1809. He became Surgeon of the regiment in 1810 and retained that position until 1815. He served in the War of 1812.

     Persis Seward was born on 29 July 1786 at MA.¹ She was the daughter of John Seward and Ann Coe.¹ Persis Seward married Dr. Gideon Case, son of Jesse Case and Sarah Humphrey.¹ Persis Seward died on 15 December 1874 at Aurora, OH, at age 88.¹

Almond and Clarissa were enumerated in (Troy) District 6, Obion Co., TN. He was a physician age 31, she was 26. Children in the household were Alden 4, and Marianna, 1.

A. Case was enumerated in the 1860 District 5, Obion Co., TN, federal census. He was a physician age 41. Clarissa was enumerated at the bottom of the family, age 37, a school teacher. Others enumerated in the family were M. E. a female age 21 born in TN, A.P. a male age 14 born in OH, M. A. a female age 12 born in TN, J. E. a male age 10 born in TN, C. M. a female age 8, born in TN. There was also a Oliver Farris age 17(?) in the household born in TN.

     Clarissa Pease was born circa 1824.¹ She married Dr. Almond Case, son of Dr. Gideon Case and Persis Seward.¹

     Eliza Griswold was born in 1793.¹ She was the daughter of Simeon Griswold and Lucretia Warner.¹ Eliza Griswold died on 6 January 1822.¹

     Elizabeth Griswold was the daughter of Simeon Griswold and Lucretia Warner.¹ Elizabeth Griswold died probably before 1843; not mentioned in father's will.¹

     George Griswold was born on 13 June 1760 at Bolton, Tolland Co., CT.^1,2 He was the son of George Griswold and Sarah Jones.¹ George Griswold was baptized on 15 June 1760 at Bolton, Tolland Co., CT.² He married Hannah (?)² George Griswold died on 30 November 1828 at age 68.²

He is thought to be the George shown on the 1790 census record in Cambridge, Washington Co., NY, with a wife and one son. They moved to the Town of Moreau, Saratoga Co., NY, as one of the first settlers. He is shocn on the 1810 census records there with a wife and two sons. They appear on land records of 1808. ³

     Sarah Jones Griswold was born on 12 February 1767.¹ She was the daughter of George Griswold and Susannah Cone.¹

     Josiah Griswold was born on 13 November 1761.¹ He was the son of George Griswold and Sarah Jones.¹ Josiah Griswold died on 11 September 1785 at age 23.¹
