He and Wanda were among the first members of the Wedding Ring Class at Tyler Street Methodist Church, and were also active in the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Boy Scouts.
J. O. was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse O. and Nanny Mae Yeargan, and by his brothers, Harold and Bill. His children, Randall L. Yeargan of Duncanville and Wanda Cecil Krezdorn of San Antonio, survive him. He had six grandchildren, Lisa Yeargan Hendricks, Catherine and Michael Yeargan, and James, and Dennis Cecil, and Kara Cecil Billings. Zachary Kyle Hendricks is his great grandson.

Wanda Yeargan Cecil Krezdorn, 75, of San Antonio, passed away March 10th, 2019.
She was born to the late J.O. and Wanda Yeargan, March 24th, 1943 in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1961 and received a Bachelor degree from Texas Tech University in 1965. Wanda is survived by her three children: James Cecil, Kara Cecil, Dennis Cecil and his wife, Samantha Cecil. And three grandchildren: Lathan Cecil, Campbell Cecil, and Jesse Mae Cecil.
Before her illness, Wanda was active with several charity groups, she was in contact with many high school, college and professional friends, and was dedicated to her church and God.
Wanda was a beautiful person - inside and out, with a warm smile for all and a generous heart.
She loved her family and friends passionately and unconditionally. Leaving all with wonderful memories and timeless stories. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. She is now at peace and living an eternal life with her God.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 21st, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Coker United Methodist Church. A small reception will follow.

From a newspaper report:
Marshall Holcomb, 70 years old and a life-long resident of this locality, met a tragic death on Wednesday evening about 10:30 o'clock when he was knocked down and run over by an automobile driven by Eric Erickson of Rockford on the road leading east from the Winnebago County Fair grounds to the Main street paving.
Holcomb, who resides on Main Street near the road leading to the fair grounds, had spent the evening at the fair and was walking home when the accident occurred. He was walking east on the right side of the road and Erickson was driving in the same direction. It is believed that the driver was blinded by the lights of autos approaching from the opposite direction and did not see the aged man.
Marshall Holcomb was born in Winnebagocounty and had lived in and near Pecatonica practically all his life. He was well known in this locallity and his many friends and acquaintances were shocked to learn of his sudden death.
He retired rom active farm work some years ago and has since made his home in the village.He leaves four sons, John, David, Cleveland and Lawrence, all residing at home, and daughter, Mrs. Phoebe Fisk, of Rockton.

Marshall Holcomb, 70 years old and a life-long resident of this locality, met a tragic death on Wednesday evening about 10:30 o'clock when he was knocked down and run over by an automobile driven by Eric Erickson of Rockford on the road leading east from the Winnebago County Fair grounds to the Main street paving.
Holcomb, who resides on Main Street near the road leading to the fair grounds, had spent the evening at the fair and was walking home when the accident occurred. He was walking east on the right side of the road and Erickson was driving in the same direction. It is believed that the driver was blinded by the lights of autos approaching from the opposite direction and did not see the aged man.
Marshall Holcomb was born in Winnebagocounty and had lived in and near Pecatonica practically all his life. He was well known in this locallity and his many friends and acquaintances were shocked to learn of his sudden death.
He retired rom active farm work some years ago and has since made his home in the village.He leaves four sons, John, David, Cleveland and Lawrence, all residing at home, and daughter, Mrs. Phoebe Fisk, of Rockton.

His uncle, Elias Howard and grandmother, Mary (Spellman) Holcombe, who lived in Brooklyn, NY learned of his desperate illness and removed him to their home; nursed him to recovery and this uncle employed him in his cooperage business; lived Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY. 2
