     Albert Bossart married Lillian Louise Holcombe, daughter of Walter Buell Holcombe and Frances Louise Cripps. Albert Bossart and Lillian Louise Holcombe were divorced.

     Allen Goodrich was born on 13 November 1690 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT. Allen Goodrich was also known as Allyn Goodrich. He married Elizabeth Goodrich on 29 December 1709. Allen Goodrich died on 8 April 1764 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT, at age 73.

     Elizabeth Goodrich was born on 19 November 1691. She married Allen Goodrich on 29 December 1709. Elizabeth Goodrich died on 25 August 1726 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT, at age 34.

     William Holcombe was born circa 1678 at St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland Co., VA. He was the son of William Holcombe.

     Henry Holcombe was born on 12 October 1680 at St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland Co., VA. He was the son of William Holcombe.

     Richard Holcombe I was born circa 1689 at probably St. Stephen's Parish, New Kent Co., VA.^1,2 He was the son of William Holcombe.¹ Richard Holcombe I died between 1753 and 1760 at Granville Co., NC.³

Brent Holcombe reports that there is an undated petition from Richard in Granville County, NC, to be removed from the tax rolls, as he is 65 years old. This petition is probably 1751 or 1752. His birth date is based on this information.

There is no certainty as to the seniority of Richard Holcomb I's sons, but the following order seems the most likely. The filiation of Richard, Joseph and Benjamin is proved by the 1751 Granville Tax List, but John is missing from the list. Although primary evidence of his paternity has not been found, other evidence and family tradition point to him being their brother. Family tradition claims another son, James Holcomb but evidence of his existence has not been found. Although many researchers claim that the brothers were born in Amelia or Prince Edward counties, they were almost certainly born in King William (later Caroline) County.⁴

     James Holcombe was the son of Richard Holcombe I.¹

     Richard Holcombe II was born circa 1717.^1,2 He was the son of Richard Holcombe I.¹ Richard Holcombe II died between 1792 and 1 November 1795.³

In the 2020 Summer edition of The South Carolina Magazine of Ancestral Research Brent Holcomb pointed out an important item in the "Colonial Estray Notices" which places Richard and Joseph in South Carolina several years (26 April 1766)before they are known to haave arrived.

     Benjamin Holcombe was born circa 1718.^1,2 He was the son of Richard Holcombe I.¹ Benjamin Holcombe married Alice Bogan circa 1755.^3,2 Benjamin Holcombe died between 12 August 1795 and 14 October 1795 at Union Co., SC.²

Benjamin Holcombe is recorded October 8, 1754 with Richard, D-3-2, John, D-3-4, and Joseph Holcombe, D-3-5, on muster roll of first organizatioin of militia for Granville Co., N.C., which county was constituted in A.D. 1746.

These four Holcombes were members of Capt. Sugan Jones Co., in Col. William Eaton's Regt. of Granville.

     John Holcombe was born circa 1720 at King William Co., VA.^1,2 He was the son of Richard Holcombe I.¹ John Holcombe married Eleanor (?)² John Holcombe died between 11 August 1770 and 10 September 1772 at Union Co., SC.²

     Joseph Holcombe was born circa 1723.¹ He was the son of Richard Holcombe I.¹

     Alice Bogan was born circa 1734.^1,2 She married Benjamin Holcombe, son of Richard Holcombe I, circa 1755.^1,2 Alice Bogan died after 1798.

     Jesse Holcombe was born circa 1765.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Holcombe and Alice Bogan.¹

     Jonathan Holcombe was born say 1787. He was the son of Jesse Holcombe. Jonathan Holcombe married Unity Rook. Jonathan Holcombe died in April 1880.

     Unity Rook married Jonathan Holcombe, son of Jesse Holcombe.
