Oakfield, June 10 - Norris T. Burr, a prominent farmer, died suddenly at his home on the Batavia-oakfield twon line road, about 3 1/2 miles from this village, shortly before 8 o'clock this morning in teh 79th year of his age. Mr. Burr arose apparently feeling as well as usual and after eating breakfast went to the barn. After remaining there but a short time he started back to the houe and on his way fell to the ground in an apoplectic fit. He was carried into the house and Dr. Jackson was summoned but he died within 25 minutes from the time he was attacked.
Mr. Burr was born in Henrietta, but he had lived in this vicinity over 50 years. About three years ago, he moved to this village, his son-in-law, Luther Townsend, assuming charge of his farm. This spring Mr. Townsend obtained a position as traveling salesman and Mr. Burr moved back to the farm. Mr. Townsend is now in Ohio and his wife went there to visit him only a few days ago. Besides his daughter, Mr. Burr is survived by his widow; one brother, Asa Burr of Michigan and one sister, Mrs. Theresa Winegar of North Pembroke.
