     Eunice Ayers Ensign was born in February 1821 at Painesville, OH.¹ She was the daughter of Oren Ensign and Nancy Pepoon.¹ Eunice Ayers Ensign married Giles Hawkins Tomlinson on 29 June 1842.¹ Eunice Ayers Ensign died on 4 September 1854 at Williams Center, OH, at age 33.¹

     Richard Morris was the son of Lewis Morris and Elizabeth Almy.¹

     Susan Georgia Phelps Ellsworth was born on 27 June 1864 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick Ellsworth and Abigail Georgianna Phelps.¹ Susan Georgia Phelps Ellsworth died on 28 April 1909 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 44.¹

     Mary Moseley Ellsworth was born on 25 August 1800 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Abner Mosely Ellsworth and Elsie Thompson.¹ Mary Moseley Ellsworth died on 9 April 1870 at GA at age 69.¹

     Martha Stoughton Ellsworth was born on 29 August 1802 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Abner Mosely Ellsworth and Elsie Thompson.¹ Martha Stoughton Ellsworth died on 26 April 1857 at GA at age 54.²

Samuel and Martha were enumerated in the 1850 Essex, Middlesex Co., CT, federal census. He was a merchant, 49, she was 48. The only child in the household was Mary F. E., age 8.

     Dwight Sturgis Holcombe was born on 29 June 1901 at MO.¹ He was the son of Austin Holcombe and Mackie Sturgis.¹ Dwight Sturgis Holcombe married Beatrice Josten.¹ Dwight Sturgis Holcombe died at CA.¹

     Lucy W. Stoughton was born on 18 July 1806 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She married Abner Moseley Ellsworth, son of Abner Mosely Ellsworth and Elsie Thompson, on 26 April 1832.¹ Lucy W. Stoughton died on 25 September 1866 at age 60.¹

     Charles Alexander Harding was born on 8 April 1820 at Clifford, Luzerne Co., PA.² He was the son of George Tryon Harding and Elizabeth Madison.² Charles Alexander Harding married Mary Ann Crawford on 28 May 1840.² Charles Alexander Harding died on 3 April 1878 at Blooming Grove, Morrow Co., OH, at age 57.²

     Lucy Stoughton Ellsworth was born on 12 November 1835 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Abner Moseley Ellsworth and Lucy W. Stoughton.¹ Lucy Stoughton Ellsworth died on 23 June 1863 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 27.¹

     Amos Harding was born on 19 March 1764 at Orange Co., NY.¹ He married Phoebe Tripp, daughter of William Tripp and Sarah Slocum, on 21 August 1784 at probably Pittston, Luzerne Co., PA.¹ Amos Harding died on 10 July 1839 at Blooming Grove, Richland Co., OH, at age 75.¹

     Anna Holcombe was born on 8 February 1774. She married Munson Buell, son of Jesse Buell and Lydia Beach, on 5 January 1794 at Cornwall, Litchfield Co., CT. Anna Holcombe died on 3 March 1850 at age 76.

     William Tripp was born circa 1738.¹ He married Sarah Slocum, daughter of Joseph Slocum and Patience Carr, circa 1756.¹

     Joseph Slocum was born on 30 January 1706 at Newport, RI.¹ He married Patience Carr, daughter of Caleb Carr Jr. and Joanna Slocum, on 27 September 1724 at Newport, RI.¹ Joseph Slocum died after 1768 at probably PA.¹

     Jane A. Holcombe was the daughter of Benjamin Rush Holcombe and Elizabeth C. Spencer.

     Eber Hodge married Abigail Elwell, daughter of Jabez Elwell. Eber Hodge was born in 1786 at CT.¹

Eber was enumerated in the 1850 Bloomfield, Logan Co., OH, federal census. He was a farmer, age 64. Others in the household were Elizabeth , 43, Elizabeth 20, Margaret 18, and Philip 17.

     Sarah Howell was born on 18 October 1753.¹ She married Moses Coe, son of Benjamin Coe and Rachel Prudden, on 26 March 1778 at Washington Co., PA.¹ Sarah Howell died on 6 April 1813 at Washington Co., PA, at age 59.¹

     Rachel Prudden was born circa 1718.¹ She married Benjamin Coe, son of Joseph Coe and Judith (?), circa 1735.¹ Rachel Prudden died on 20 December 1776 at Morristown, NJ.¹

     Samuel Elwell was born on 10 January 1696 at Branford, New Haven Co., CT. He was the son of Samuel Elwell. Samuel Elwell died in 1783 at Westport, CT.

     Judith (?) married Joseph Coe, son of Benjamin Coe and Abigail Carman, circa 1703.¹

     Job Morris was the son of Richard Morris.¹ Job Morris married Mary Ansley.¹

     Abigail Carman was born on 5 July 1635 at Roxbury, MA.¹ She married Benjamin Coe, son of Robert Coe and Mary (?), in 1660 at Hampstead, NY.¹

     Samuel Elwell was born in 1635 at Gloucester, Essex Co., MA. He was the son of Robert Elwell and Joan (?) Samuel Elwell married Esther Dutch, daughter of Osmond Dutch, on 7 June 1658 at Gloucester, Essex Co., MA. Samuel Elwell died on 24 November 1696 at Gloucester, Essex Co., MA.

     Mary (?) married Robert Coe circa 1623.¹ Mary (?) was buried on 27 October 1628 at Boxford, County Suffolk, England.¹

     Sigismund V. Chigi-Alabani 6th Prince of Farnese was born in 1798.² He married Leopoldina Doria-Pamfili-Landi, daughter of Prince Giovanni Andrea Doria-Pamfili-Landi III and Teresia Orsini. Sigismund V. Chigi-Alabani 6th Prince of Farnese died in 1877.²

     Hannah Mitchell married Robert Coe, son of Robert Coe and Mary (?).¹

     Jacob Burdg was the son of Joseph Burdg and Sarah Morris.¹ Jacob Burdg married Judith Smith.¹

     Abigail Coe was born on 11 November 1702 at Stratford, Fairfield Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of John Coe and Mary Hawley.¹ Abigail Coe married John Guthrie on 1 June 1727 at Stratford, Fairfield Co., CT.¹ Abigail Coe died in March 1747 at Southbury, Fairfield Co., CT, at age 44.¹

     Oziah Strong was born on 3 September 1734.¹ He was the son of Deacon Phinehas Strong and Mary Parker.¹ Oziah Strong married Susannah West on 9 August 1757.¹ Oziah Strong died on 21 November 1807 at Homer, NY, at age 73.¹

     Sarah Guthrie was born on 30 April 1744 at Woodbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of John Guthrie and Abigail Coe.¹ Sarah Guthrie married Reuben Murray in 1766 at Kent, Litchfield Co, CT.¹ Sarah Guthrie died in 1792 at Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY.¹

     George Tryon Harding was born on 15 June 1790 at Pittston, Luzerne Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Amos Harding and Phoebe Tripp.¹ George Tryon Harding married Elizabeth Madison on 1 May 1816.¹ George Tryon Harding died on 9 January 1860 at Blooming Grove, Richland Co., OH, at age 69.¹

     Aurora Murray was born on 18 January 1785 at Canaan, Columbia Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Reuben Murray and Sarah Guthrie.¹ Aurora Murray married Isaac Jerome on 18 March 1807 at Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY.¹ Aurora Murray died on 6 April 1867 at New York, New York Co., NY, at age 82.¹

     Clayton Howard Holcombe was born on 31 May 1925 at Vergennes, Addison Co., VT.¹ He died on 15 December 2009 at Fletcher Allen Healthcare, Burlington, Chittenden Co., VT, at age 84.¹

Clayton Howard Holcomb passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, in Fletcher Allen Healthcare of Burlington. He was born on May 31, 1924, in Vergennes, the son of Alice Julia (Wells) Holcomb and Howard C. Holcomb.

He was a decorated Veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #19 in Bristol and VFW Post #7823 in Middlebury. He donated countless hours to both organizations.

He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Roscoe Holcomb in September 2006. He was also predeceased by his parents, a son James (Jimmy) Holcomb, a sister Dorothy Daniels Coleman and his step father Earl Wells Sr. Mr. Holcomb is survived by three children; Roy Holcomb and his wife Peggy of Constantine, Mich., Shirley Panton and her husband Richard of Ferrisburgh and, Kevin Holcomb and his wife Crystal of Rutland; a step daughter, Tina Saunders of N.C; an adopted brother, Earl Wells Jr. of Iowa; a grandson, Todd Clapper; three step grandsons Tyler Carpenter, Buster Panton and Josh Panton; three nephews, Raymond Daniels, Richard Daniels and his wife Nancy and Robert Daniels, all of New Haven; a great nephew, Christopher Daniels and his wife Sue of Starksboro; and is also survived by Pansy Holcomb and Shirley Miller, many cousins, extended family members and numerous friends, including his special friends Ann Reames, Les Delisle and Mike Brown and his Legion & VFW comrades.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21 at Brown- McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes. Friends may call at Brown- McClay Funeral Home in Bristol on Monday, Dec. 21 from 11 a.m. up to the hour of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Legion Post #19, 10 Airport Drive, Bristol, VT 05443 or VFW Post #7823, 530 Exchange St., Middlebury, VT 05753.

     Clarissa Hall was born on 16 July 1825 at Palmyra, Wayne Co, NY.¹ She married Leonard Walter Jerome, son of Isaac Jerome and Aurora Murray, on 5 April 1849 at Palmyra, Wayne Co, NY.¹ Clarissa Hall died on 2 April 1895 at Tunbridge Wells, England, at age 69.¹

     Jennie Jerome was born on 9 January 1840 at Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Leonard Walter Jerome and Clarissa Hall.¹ Jennie Jerome married Lord Randolph Henry Spencer-Churchill on 15 April 1874 at Paris, France.¹ Jennie Jerome died on 29 June 1921 at Westbournstreet Paddington, London, England, at age 81.¹

     John Coe was born in 1656 at Stratford, Fairfield Co., CT. He was the son of Robert Coe and Hannah Mitchell.

     Clarita Jerome was born on 15 April 1851 at Rochester, Monroe Co., NY. She was the daughter of Leonard Walter Jerome and Clarissa Hall.

     Leonie Jerome was the daughter of Leonard Walter Jerome and Clarissa Hall.¹

     Anna Marie Moss was born on 17 September 1883 at Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN.¹ She was the daughter of Philip Moos and Jacobina Rexroth. Anna Marie Moss married Roscoe Anthony McKinney, son of George McKinney and Eliza Lydia Oliver, on 20 May 1902 at Marion Co., IN.¹ Anna Marie Moss died on 12 November 1948 at Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN, at age 65.² She was buried at Holy Cross and St. Joseph Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN.²

     George Holcombe was the son of Benjamin Rush Holcombe and Helena Davis.
