     Catherine Moore was born circa 1826.¹ She was the daughter of Selden Moore and Philura Holcombe.¹

     Nicholas Denslow was born circa 1577.¹ He died on 8 March 1666/67.

     Frances E. Moore was born circa 1828 at CT.¹ She was the daughter of Selden Moore and Philura Holcombe.¹ Frances E. Moore married Elijah Dresser circa 1851.²

Elijah and Frances were enumerated in the 1860 Lynnville, Ogle Co., IL, federal census. He was a farmer 37, she was 30. Children in the household were Caty 6, Jessie 3, Girty 4 months.

Elijah and Frances were again enumerated in Lynnville in the 1870 federal census. He was a farmer age 48, she was 42. Children in the household were Kate 16, Jessie 13, Gertrude 10, Freddie 5, Frankie 5, and Robert 1.

     Eliza (?) was born circa 1843 at CT.¹ She married Eugene E. Moore, son of Selden Moore and Philura Holcombe.¹

     Chief Justice John Marshall was born on 24 September 1755 at Germantown, Fauquier Co., VA. He was the son of Thomas Marshall and Mary Randolph Keith. Chief Justice John Marshall died on 6 July 1835 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA, at age 79. He was buried at Shockoe Hill Cemetery, Richmond, VA.

     Clarinda Holcombe was born circa 1818 at CT. She was the daughter of CT Holcombe. Clarinda Holcombe died on 17 January 1900 at Tariffville, Hartford Co., CT.

Mrs. Clarinda Holcomb Hayes, widow of D. C. Hayes, who had been an invalid for a number of years, died at her home on teh Granby road about 8 o'clock Wednesday evening, aged 82 years. She leaves a daughter-in-law, the widow of her son, D. Frank Hayes, and a granddaughter, Mrs. A. D. Spencer, who lives in Scranton, Pa. D. C. Hayes kept a store and was postmaster here for many years. He was succeeded here by Coe & Pickett about 1867, and up to the time of his death, about ten years ago, was a farmer on the Granby Road.

     William Buckland was baptized on 20 July 1701 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He married Elizabeth (?)¹ William Buckland died on 8 November 1758 at age 57.¹

     Emma (?) was born in April 1872 at CT. She married Joseph Holcombe, son of CT Holcombe.

     Dr. Abel Prescott was born on 7 April 1718 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA.¹ He married Abigail Brigham, daughter of John Brigham and Martha (?), in 1742.¹ Dr. Abel Prescott died on 22 October 1805 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 87.¹

     Ida S. Holcombe was born circa 1877 at CT.¹ She was the daughter of Wilbur Sylvester Holcombe and Ida Ester Griffin.¹

From the Courant 1 August 1901:

Charles Wells Eddy, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John c. Eddy, and Miss Ida s. Holcomb, were married this afternoon at the home of A. J. Holcomb, uncle of the bride, in East Weatogue. Rev. Oliver Hart Bronson of Simsbury performed the ceremony in the presence of the immediate families of the couple and a few friends. The bride was prettily dressed in white India linen, trimmed with ribbon and lace, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and maidenhair ferns. The couple left for a wedding trip, after which they will live in Thomaston, near which place the groom, who is a civil engineer, is at work for the city of Waterbury on a reservoir. Among those present were Robert C. Eddy, a brother of the bride (sic.), now at West Point, who was given a special leave of absence of twenty-four hours; also Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Deming of Hartford and Mrs. John Bartlett of New York.

     Irene L. Holcombe was born circa 1869. She was the daughter of Chauncey Dayton Holcombe and Hannah Irene Buell. Irene L. Holcombe died on 5 February 1907 at Winsted, Litchfield Co., CT.

From the Courant 7 February 1907:

Mrs. Irene L. Wilcox, wife of E. L. Wilcox of the firm of Tanner & Wilcox, died at her home in Winsted Tuesday afternoon age 36. Mrs. Wilcox gave birth to a child ten days ago which died a few hours after birth. Pneumonia developed and she had been since in a critical condition. Mrs. Wilcox was born in Simsbury and at one time was engaged as a school teacher in Granby. Later she entered the Boston Conservatory of Music and was graduated in 1893. She was a talented piano player. Besides her husband, she leaves two small children, a son and a daughter, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Holcomb of Simsbury, two sisters, Mrs. Stewart Alfred of New York and Miss Anna Holcomb of Simsbury, and one brother, Buel Holcomb, also of Simsbury. Funeral services will be held at the family residence at 2 o'clock this afternoon.

     Teresia Orsini was born in 1788.¹ She married Prince Giovanni Andrea Doria-Pamfili-Landi III, son of Prince Giovanni Andrea Doria-Pamfili-Landi II and Leopolda di Savoja, in 1808.¹ Teresia Orsini died in 1829.¹

     Frank Schlegel was born on 24 June 1890.¹ He married Helen C. Hayden, daughter of Daniel H. Hayden and Grace Wohlfile.¹ Frank Schlegel died on 7 January 1971 at Ashtabula, Ashtabula Co., OH, at age 80.¹

     Leopolda di Savoja was born in 1744.¹ She married Prince Giovanni Andrea Doria-Pamfili-Landi II, son of Prince Giovanni Andrea Doria-Pamfili-Landi and Eleonore Carafa, in 1767.¹ Leopolda di Savoja died in 1807.¹

     Isaac Jerome was born on 26 October 1786 at Charlton, Saratoga Co., NY.¹ He married Aurora Murray, daughter of Reuben Murray and Sarah Guthrie, on 18 March 1807 at Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY.¹ Isaac Jerome died on 20 July 1866 at Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY, at age 79.¹

     Eleonore Carafa was born in 1728.¹ She was the daughter of Duke Ettore Carafa and Francisca Guevara.¹ Eleonore Carafa married Prince Giovanni Andrea Doria-Pamfili-Landi in 1743.¹ Eleonore Carafa died in 1765.¹

     Reuben Murray was born on 17 February 1743 at East Guilford, New Haven Co., CT.¹ He married Sarah Guthrie, daughter of John Guthrie and Abigail Coe, in 1766 at Kent, Litchfield Co, CT.¹ Reuben Murray died on 26 November 1810 at Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY, at age 67.¹

     Francisca Guevara was born in 1710.¹ She married Duke Ettore Carafa, son of Duke Fabrizio Carafa X and Aurelia Impriali, in 1726.¹ Francisca Guevara died in 1795.¹

     Aurelia Impriali was born in 1678.¹ She was the daughter of Prince Andrea Impriali and Pellina Grimaldi.¹ Aurelia Impriali married Duke Fabrizio Carafa X in 1699.¹ Aurelia Impriali died in 1770.¹

     Lord Randolph Henry Spencer-Churchill was born on 13 February 1849 at Blenheim Palace, near Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He married Jennie Jerome, daughter of Leonard Walter Jerome and Clarissa Hall, on 15 April 1874 at Paris, France.¹ Lord Randolph Henry Spencer-Churchill died on 24 January 1895 at London, England, at age 45.¹

     Pellina Grimaldi was born in 1651.¹ She was the daughter of Prince Hercule Grimaldi and Aurelia Spinola.¹ Pellina Grimaldi married Prince Andrea Impriali in 1668.¹ Pellina Grimaldi died in 1724.¹

     Lord Honore Grimaldi was born in 1597.¹ He was the son of Lord Hercule Grimaldi and Maria Landi.¹ Lord Honore Grimaldi married Ippolita Trivulzio in 1616.¹ Lord Honore Grimaldi died in 1662.¹
