     Newell settled in (Springfield, Jackson Co.) Michigan, had a large farm, and was a famous hunter. Deer and bears were his favorite game. His name is sometimes written Norton. Jabez Hayden. Newell N. Hayden was born on 9 December 1802 at Sodus, Wayne Co., NY.² He was the son of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright. Newell N. Hayden married Hannah Hammond on 5 October 1842.² Newell N. Hayden died on 7 January 1884 at Springport, MI, at age 81.

     Jacob Newell Hayden was born on 26 July 1833.¹ He was the son of Newell N. Hayden and Mary Sanders. Jacob Newell Hayden died on 7 May 1848 at age 14.¹

     Eveline Hayden was born on 15 April 1805. She was the daughter of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright.

     Elisha Hayden was born on 11 February 1807. He was the son of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright.

     Erastus settled on his father's homestead at Sodus, where "he was noted for his excelling in the farming line over his neighbors" in 1846. In 1886 his sister, Mrs. Vashti Tuttle, writes from Williamson, Wayne County, N.Y.: "My brothers Norton (Newell), Erastus, and Hiram settled in Michigan. Their farms joined, I think." Jabez Hayden. Erastus Hayden was born on 24 June 1809 at Sodus, Wayne Co., NY. He was the son of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright. Erastus Hayden married an unknown person in 1830.

     Miles Joseph Holcombe was born on 21 April 1894. He was the son of Edson Holcombe and Mariah McNally.

     Polly Hayden was born on 1 March 1812. She was the daughter of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright.

     Emma Hayden was born on 20 August 1815. She was the daughter of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright.

     William Hayden was born on 15 March 1818. He was the son of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright.

     Hiram W. Hayden was born on 27 June 1820 at Sodus, Wayne Co., NY. He was the son of Newell Hayden and Vashti Wright.

     Almira Hayden was born on 2 May 1800. She was the daughter of Peletiah Hayden and Hepzibah (?) Almira Hayden died in 1838.

     Lucy Hayden was born on 20 October 1802. She was the daughter of Peletiah Hayden and Hepzibah (?)

     David was born in either Colebrook CT, or Kingsboro, NY. He continued on the old homestead more than fifty years, bringing up a family of four children. Two others died in infancy. David Ellsworth Hayden was born on 20 December 1808. He was the son of Peletiah Hayden and Hepzibah (?) David Ellsworth Hayden died in February 1883 at Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY, at age 74.

     Abigail Cleveland married Oliver Hayden, son of David Hayden and Jemima Ellsworth. Abigail Cleveland died.

     Eliza Funk married Oliver Hayden, son of David Hayden and Jemima Ellsworth. Eliza Funk died on 22 September 1822.

     Henry Keys Hayden was born on 6 January 1819. He was the son of Oliver Hayden and Eliza Funk.

     Orinda Shepherd married Abijah Hayden, son of David Hayden and Jemima Ellsworth, on 27 January 1799. Orinda Shepherd died on 31 October 1851.

     Minerva Hayden was born on 22 November 1800 at Montgomery Co., NY. She was the daughter of Abijah Hayden and Orinda Shepherd. Minerva Hayden died in 1850.

     William Hayden Blackmer was born on 20 February 1820. He was the son of John M. Blackmer and Minerva Hayden.

     Edward Edwin Blackmer was born on 6 February 1855. He was the son of William Hayden Blackmer and Anne Eaton.

     Elley Hayden Blackmer was born on 6 February 1855. She was the daughter of William Hayden Blackmer and Anne Eaton.

     Charles Knowlton Blackmer was born on 27 December 1857. He was the son of William Hayden Blackmer and Anne Eaton. Charles Knowlton Blackmer died in 1881.

     Caroline Ellsworth Blackmer was born on 30 November 1869. She was the daughter of William Hayden Blackmer and Anne Eaton.

     Edward P. Childs was born on 5 March 1831. He was the son of William P. Childs and Minerva Hayden.

     Carlos Childs was born on 16 March 1833. He was the son of William P. Childs and Minerva Hayden. Carlos Childs died on 20 November 1852 at age 19.

     Lucy Minerva Childs was born on 16 March 1839. She was the daughter of William P. Childs and Minerva Hayden. Lucy Minerva Childs died on 11 June 1869 at age 30.
