Amason Webster taught school west of the Olentangy river prior to his marriage to Julia, and afterwards farmed in Clinton township. After Julia's death, he married her first cousin, Mary Pinney, who raised their daughter Julia. After his daughter Julia's death in Illinois, her daughter Ida came to Ohio to live with her grandfather while the grandsons remained with their father.²
