     George C. Pinney was born in 1833. He was the son of Hervey Pinney and Margaret Everard.

     Abner F. B. Pinney was born in 1837. He was the son of Hervey Pinney and Margaret Everard. Abner F. B. Pinney died on 25 November 1854.

     John W. Pinney was born in 1841. He was the son of Hervey Pinney and Margaret Everard. John W. Pinney died on 12 July 1938.

     Ruth Pinney was born on 29 July 1774 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 She was the daughter of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett. Ruth Pinney married Ebenezer Brown, son of Ebenezer Brown and Susanna Pierce, circa 1800.³ Ruth Pinney died on 7 April 1817 at Worthington, Franklin Co., OH, at age 42.⁴ She was buried at St. John's Cemetery, Worthington, Franklin Co., OH.⁴

     Azariah Pinney was born on 26 July 1775 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 He was the son of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett.

     Martha Pinney was born on 31 March 1777 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 She was the daughter of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett.

     Abner Putnam Pinney was born on 28 February 1779 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 He was the son of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett. Abner Putnam Pinney married Polly Morrison, daughter of Alexander Morrison and Mehitable Hall, on 8 February 1804 at Franklin Co., OH.¹ Abner Putnam Pinney died in 1869 at Dublin, Franklin Co., OH.¹ He was buried at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Dublin, Franklin Co., OH.¹

Abner was an original proprietor of the Scioto Company, Worthington, OH.³

     Huldah Pinney was born on 5 April 1780 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 She was the daughter of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett.

     Chester Pinney was born on 26 July 1785 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 He was the son of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett. Chester Pinney married Lucretia Thompson, daughter of Judge William Thompson and Anna Belden, on 15 July 1810 at Franklin Co., OH.³ Chester Pinney married Cynthia Andrews, daughter of Moses Andrews and Elizabeth Clark, on 10 April 1825 at Franklin Co., OH.⁴ Chester Pinney and Cynthia Andrews were divorced on 29 November 1839 at Franklin Co., OH.⁴ Chester Pinney died in 1865. He was buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington, Franklin Co., OH.¹

     Levi Pinney was born on 30 March 1782 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 He was the son of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett. Levi Pinney married Charlotte Beach, daughter of Samuel Beach and Desire Case, on 8 February 1804 at Franklin Co., OH.³ Levi Pinney died on 12 October 1869 at Worthington, Franklin Co., OH, at age 87.³ He was buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington, Franklin Co., OH.³

     Elizabeth Pinney also went by the name of Betsey Pinney. She was born on 27 April 1795 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Capt. Abner Pinney and Ruth Gillett. Elizabeth Pinney married Lemuel Humphrey, son of Lemuel Gordon Humphrey and Dorcas Case, on 23 February 1817 at Worthington, Franklin Co., OH.^1,2 Elizabeth Pinney died in 1875 at Bates Co., MO.¹

     Elizabeth Pinney was born in 1739. She was the daughter of Capt. Abraham Pinney and Elizabeth Butler. Elizabeth Pinney married John Phelps, son of Deacon John Phelps and Sarah Cornish, on 10 March 1762.

     John Phelps was born on 14 May 1733 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Deacon John Phelps and Sarah Cornish. John Phelps married Elizabeth Pinney, daughter of Capt. Abraham Pinney and Elizabeth Butler, on 10 March 1762. John Phelps died on 14 March 1812 at age 78.

     Deacon John Phelps was born on 21 March 1702 or 1703 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of William Phelps and Hannah Hayden. Deacon John Phelps married Sarah Cornish, daughter of Deacon James Cornish and Elizabeth Thrall, on 24 November 1728. Deacon John Phelps died on 1 September 1777.

     Sarah Cornish was born on 19 April 1709. She was the daughter of Deacon James Cornish and Elizabeth Thrall. Sarah Cornish married Deacon John Phelps, son of William Phelps and Hannah Hayden, on 24 November 1728. Sarah Cornish died on 5 September 1777 at age 68.

     William Phelps was born on 3 November 1660 at Poquonock, Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Samuel Phelps and Sarah Griswold. William Phelps married Hannah Hayden, daughter of Lt. Daniel Hayden and Hannah Willcockson, on 4 January 1693. William Phelps died on 21 November 1711 at age 51.

     Hannah Hayden was born on 9 October 1668 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Lt. Daniel Hayden and Hannah Willcockson. Hannah Hayden married William Phelps, son of Samuel Phelps and Sarah Griswold, on 4 January 1693.

Judge Phelps' book speculates that Hannah married, 2nd a Smith, based on the Windsor Land Records, Vol. 5, p-205.

     Aaron Pinney was born in 1743. He was the son of Capt. Abraham Pinney and Elizabeth Butler. Aaron Pinney married Martha Bidwell. Aaron Pinney died in 1812.

     Mary Ward was born in 1801.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Ward and Sarah Alderman.¹

     Owen Brown was born on 16 February 1771 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Capt. John Brown and Hannah Owen. Owen Brown married Ruth Mills, daughter of Gideon Mills and Ruth Humphrey, on 11 February 1793 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Owen Brown died on 8 May 1856 at Hudson, Summit Co., OH, at age 85.

     Orpha Ward was born in 1803.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Ward and Sarah Alderman.¹ Orpha Ward died in 1805.¹

     Capt. John Brown was born on 9 May 1800 at Torrington, Litchfield Co., CT. He was the son of Owen Brown and Ruth Mills. Capt. John Brown died on 2 December 1859 at Charlestown, WV, at age 59. He was buried at John Brown Farm, North Elba, NY.

     Polly Wilcox was born on 29 January 1807. She married Hiram Holcombe, son of Sterling Holcombe and Betsey Stone, on 31 August 1823. Polly Wilcox died on 15 May 1893 at age 86.

     Aurilla Holcombe was born on 5 December 1828. She was the daughter of Hiram Holcombe and Polly Wilcox. Aurilla Holcombe married Ara William Hoagland on 23 June 1846. Aurilla Holcombe died on 27 February 1887 at age 58.

     Ira and Aurilla were recorded in the 1850 census of LeRoy, Bradford Co., PA; he was 26, she was 21. Ara William Hoagland was born on 18 June 1824. He married Aurilla Holcombe, daughter of Hiram Holcombe and Polly Wilcox, on 23 June 1846. Ara William Hoagland died on 30 April 1904 at age 79.

     Elsie Maria Hoagland was born on 30 January 1852 at LeRoy, Bradford Co., PA. She was the daughter of Ara William Hoagland and Aurilla Holcombe.

     Albert Boone lived at Sterling, Logan Co., CO.

     Thomas Ward was born in 1805.¹ He was the son of Thomas Ward and Sarah Alderman.¹

     Joseph Mills was born on 23 December 1694. He was the son of John Mills and Sarah Pettibone. Joseph Mills married Hannah Adams in 1724. Joseph Mills died in 1783.

     Hannah Adams was born on 22 October 1709. She married Joseph Mills, son of John Mills and Sarah Pettibone, in 1724. Hannah Adams died in 1776.

     Ezekiel Mills was the son of Joseph Mills and Hannah Adams. Ezekiel Mills married Ursula Phelps.

     Ursula Phelps married Ezekiel Mills, son of Joseph Mills and Hannah Adams.

     Thomas Delaun Mills was the son of Ezekiel Mills and Ursula Phelps. Thomas Delaun Mills died in 1814.

     Robert Mills was born in 1792. He was the son of Thomas Delaun Mills and Sophia Lattimer. Robert Mills married Rhoda Hulet. Robert Mills died in 1827.

     Rhoda Hulet married Robert Mills, son of Thomas Delaun Mills and Sophia Lattimer. Rhoda Hulet died on 1 August 1837.

     Elvira Pamela Mills was born on 2 March 1820 at Nelson, Portage Co., OH. She was the daughter of Robert Mills and Rhoda Hulet. Elvira Pamela Mills married Orville Sutherland Cox on 3 October 1839 at Lima, Adams Co., IL. Elvira Pamela Mills died on 18 February 1903 at Fairview, Sanpete Co., UT, at age 82. She was buried on 21 February 1903 at Fairview City Cemetery, Fairview, Sanpete Co., UT.

Elvira went West to Missouri in 1831, on West to Utah in 1847, with the white families "in the middle of the great American Desert." She was the mother of the first white boy born in Utah who lived to Manhood: Orvill Cox, born Nov 29, 1847; also the mother of the birst white boy born in Manti: Delaun M. Cox, born Mar. 24, 1850. She fought grasshoppers, crickets, coyotes and ratlesnakes. In Manti in May, 1850, she helped the others kill rattleshakes all night long, and burned them on great bonfires; some said they killed from 500 to 1500 in that one night.

For ten years she has said that she "never once dared to eat as much bread as she wanted." yet her husband raised good crops. He gave half of his grain to Brigham Young to help the poor in Utah; and then gave half of what was left to the Bishop of the village. They gave many meals to poor families who had no food in their homes. She fed the Indians by the dozen and fought the lice from them.

In 1892 when her grandson was a boy, she was still saving every tiny piece of bread left on the table, toasting it in the oven, and storing it in flour sacks in the attic. She was going to be prepared for the next famine.

She was the mother of eleven children, eight of whom have raised families, and her descendants at the present time number about 900 by actual count.

Orville S. and Elvira were enumerated in the 1850 Sanpete Co., Utah Territory, federal census. He was a blacksmith age 36, she was 31. Children in the household were Adelia B. 9, Alma B. 7, Orville M. 2 years 6 months, and Delaun M. 1.

Orvil and Evira were enumerated in the 1860 Manti, Senpete Co., UT, federal census. He was 45, she was 39. Children in the household were Adelia B. 18, Eliza J. 17, Almer B. 16, Orvil M. 12, Deloam 10, Walter 8, and Philemon 6.

Elvira was enumerated in the 1870 Fairview, Sanpete Co., UT, federal census. She was 50. Children in the household were Orvill M. 22, Trifena 11, Amasa 9, and Elvira E. 6.

Elvira was enumerated in the 1880 Fairview, Sanpete Co., UT, federal census. She was 60. children in the household were Triphinia 21, Amassa 19, Euphrasia 16, and Wayne C. Rowe 1 (grandson).

     Orville Sutherland Cox was born on 25 November 1814 at Plymouth, NY. He married Elvira Pamela Mills, daughter of Robert Mills and Rhoda Hulet, on 3 October 1839 at Lima, Adams Co., IL. Orville Sutherland Cox married under Mormon law Mary Elizabeth Allen on 3 July 1853 at Manti, Sanpete Co., UT. Orville Sutherland Cox married under Mormon law Eliza Jane Losee on 22 June 1859 at Manti, Sanpete Co., UT. Orville Sutherland Cox married under Mormon law Catherine Hopkins on 9 October 1879 at Saint George, Washington Co., UT.      Orvill Mills Cox was born on 29 November 1847 at Session, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT. He was the son of Orville Sutherland Cox and Elvira Pamela Mills. Orvill Mills Cox married Rosanna Jones in 1874. Orvill Mills Cox died on 28 March 1926 at age 78.
