     Capt. Edward Phelps was born on 25 December 1727 at Litchfield, CT. He was the son of Edward Phelps and Deborah Griswold. Capt. Edward Phelps married Hannah Marsh on 21 December 1752.

     Hannah Marsh married Capt. Edward Phelps, son of Edward Phelps and Deborah Griswold, on 21 December 1752.

     Bowman shows marriage date of 1721, before birth. Mindwell Phelps was born on 17 February 1732 at Litchfield, CT. She was the daughter of Edward Phelps and Deborah Griswold.

     Roswell Phelps was born on 8 December 1738 at Litchfield, CT. He was the son of Edward Phelps and Deborah Griswold. Roswell Phelps died on 18 November 1739.

     Lucy Phelps was born on 21 March 1741 at Litchfield, CT. She was the daughter of Edward Phelps and Deborah Griswold.

     David Griswold was born on 25 May 1733. He was the son of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. David Griswold died on 14 March 1736/37 at age 3.

     David Griswold was born on 15 February 1748 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. David Griswold married Lois Higley, daughter of Dudley Higley and Eunice Stratton, on 16 July 1772 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. David Griswold died on 25 March 1811 at age 63.

     Lois Higley was born on 28 January 1756 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Dudley Higley and Eunice Stratton. Lois Higley married David Griswold, son of David Griswold and Huldah Brown, on 16 July 1772 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.

     Ezekiel Griswold was born on 21 February 1736/37 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. Ezekiel Griswold married Anna Munson. Ezekiel Griswold died on 27 May 1829 at age 92.

     Anna Munson was born in 1745. She married Ezekiel Griswold, son of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. Anna Munson died on 27 July 1782.

     Joel Griswold was born in 1734 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.³ He was the son of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. Joel Griswold married Mary Evans on 11 May 1758 at Old Wintonbury, CT.³ Joel Griswold died on 10 April 1811.³ He was buried at Old Wintonbury Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.³

Joel is not listed in Stiles, is in Bowman, she quotes Simsbury Soldiers.

     Huldah Griswold was born on 23 April 1739 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. Huldah Griswold died on 21 May 1790 at age 51.

     Sybil Griswold was born on 17 April 1742 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. Sybil Griswold married Enoch Drake, son of Enoch Drake and Mary Barber, on 25 August 1763 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² Sybil Griswold married Elisha Rose on 17 April 1777.² Sybil Griswold died on 14 August 1829 at age 87.²

     Enoch Drake was born on 24 August 1741. He was the son of Enoch Drake and Mary Barber. Enoch Drake married Sybil Griswold, daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown, on 25 August 1763 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² Enoch Drake died on 9 January 1782 at age 40.

     Elisha Rose married Sybil Griswold, daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown, on 17 April 1777.¹

     Deborah Griswold was born on 15 March 1745 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. Deborah Griswold married William Watson on 30 October 1768 at Old Wintonbury, CT.

     William Watson was baptized on 28 April 1748.¹ He married Deborah Griswold, daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown, on 30 October 1768 at Old Wintonbury, CT.

     Asinah Griswold was born on 6 September 1751. She was the daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown. Asinah Griswold died on 15 September 1751.

     Bowman and French list Asena, Stiles does not. Asena Griswold was the daughter of David Griswold and Huldah Brown.

     William Hayden married unknown (?) William Hayden was born at England.² He married Margaret (?) circa 1663. William Hayden died on 27 September 1669 at Kenilworth, CT.

William was probably of a Somerset or Devonshire family. Research by Rev. William B. Hayden of Portland, ME, furnishes strong presumptive proof that he was a brother of John Hayden of Braintree, Mass., and both from Hinton, Blewitt, County Somerset, England. He was of the Mary and John emigration to Dorchester, Mass., 1630; in 1634 was made a freeman at Dorchester (evidence that he was also a member of the then Dorchester, now Windsor, church); first appears in Connecticut at Hartford, where he received land in the first distribution, 1639; served under Capt. Mason (whose life he saved) at the Pequot Fight, 1637, for which he was granted a lot on the Soldiers' field at Hartford, to which the Court after his death added 50 acres more for his heirs; the date of birth of his son Daniel, 2 Sept. 1640, probably fixes the date of his coming to Windsor. He sold his Hartford property with dwelling-house thereon, 9 Feb 1642/3; first bought at Windsor 24 Jan 1644/5; and Jabez H. Hayden thinks it probable that in the intrim between these dates, he may have resided in the old Plymouth Co.'s Trading House at Windsor, and that Daniel, the first American-born Hayden, may have been born therein, in the first house built in CT. He bought of Mr. Francis Stiles 25 1/2 acres, the site of his house being occupied now by the late Exra Hayden homestead, east side highway, at junction of two roads SE of Hayden's Station.

On that part of his farm lying west of the present RR station, William had a stone quarry, worked as early as 1654, and hten called his "lot where his stone pit is"; but his principal occupation was that of farmer. He was one of the first Troop of Horse in the colony, 1657/8. His wife died 1664 and in 1665 he removed with the first settlers to Homonoscett (Clinton, CT) about which time he married margaret Wilcockson of Stratford, CT. In 1667 he was one of the deputies from Town of Kenilworth (Killingworth, CT); one of three petitioners for authority to organize a church there, and his name is third on its roll of members. August 12, 1669 he was appointed one of four com'rs to divide land between Edward Jessup and John Richardson, which the later had bought of the Indians in Westchester, near NY. When he died in Kenilworth, he deeded all his Windsor land to his eldest son Daniel, who had not left the old homestead.

     Nathaniel Hayden was born on 2 February 1643 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of William Hayden and unknown (?)

     Mary Hayden was born on 6 June 1648 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of William Hayden and unknown (?)

     unknown (?) married William Hayden. Unknown (?) died in 1664.

     Margaret (?) was born circa 1610.¹ She married William Willcockson. Margaret (?) married William Hayden circa 1663.

     Mary Buttolph was born in February 1706/7.¹ She was the daughter of Sgt. David Buttolph and Mary Buck. Mary Buttolph married Joseph Willcockson, son of Samuel Willcockson and Mindwell Griffin, on 23 July 1729 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Mary Buttolph married Capt. Nathaniel Holcombe, son of Lt. Nathaniel Holcombe and Martha Buell, on 14 December 1771 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^2,3

     From Loomis:

"At the death of his father, he acquired land in East Windsor, and subsequently removed to Colchester where in 1716, he bought 150 acres of land. He was deputy from Colchester to the General Court, 1708-10. His will, dated Jan. 6, 1729, and exhibited March 6, 1732-3, is preserved at Hartford, and a copy of same is given in Manwaring, Vol. III, p. 80, of his Digest of Wills and Estates of Conn." Ensign Nathaniel Loomis was born on 8 July 1663 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. Ensign Nathaniel Loomis married Ruth Porter, daughter of John Porter II and Mary Stanley, on 28 November 1689. Ensign Nathaniel Loomis died on 25 June 1732 at Bolton, Tolland Co., CT, at age 68.

     Deacon Joseph Loomis was born on 7 November 1651 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. Deacon Joseph Loomis married Hannah Marsh on 28 January 1675/76. Deacon Joseph Loomis died in 1699.³

"As Daniel White was son of John White, the brother of the wife of pioneer Joseph Loomis, therefore the Loomis brothers, thomas and Samuel, married their second cousins." Thomas Loomis was born on 3 December 1653 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. Thomas Loomis married Sarah White, daughter of Lt. Daniel White and Sarah Crow, on 31 March 1680. Thomas Loomis died on 12 August 1688 at Hatfield, Hampshire Co., MA, at age 34.

     Samuel Loomis was born on 29 June 1655 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT. He died in June 1655. He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott.

     James Loomis was born on 19 September 1659. He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. James Loomis died on 14 December 1669 at age 10.

     David Loomis was born on 30 May 1665. He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. David Loomis died on 30 June 1665.

     Deacon Samuel Loomis was born on 12 August 1666 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. Deacon Samuel Loomis married Elizabeth White, daughter of Lt. Daniel White and Sarah Crow, on 2 July 1688. Deacon Samuel Loomis married Elizabeth Noble, daughter of Thomas Noble and Hannah Warringer, on 25 October 1738. Deacon Samuel Loomis died on 20 May 1754 at age 87.

     Isaac Loomis was born on 31 August 1668. He was the son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. Isaac Loomis died on 12 December 1688 at age 20.

     Mary Loomis was born on 7 August 1673 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott. Mary Loomis died on 14 May 1675 at age 1.

     Ruth Porter was born on 7 August 1671. She was the daughter of John Porter II and Mary Stanley. Ruth Porter married Ensign Nathaniel Loomis, son of Deacon John Loomis and Elizabeth Scott, on 28 November 1689. Ruth Porter died on 16 February 1753 at age 81.

     Was the schoolmaster at Colchester. Sgt. Nathaniel Loomis was born on 7 March 1694/95 at Bolton, Tolland Co., CT.³ He was the son of Ensign Nathaniel Loomis and Ruth Porter. Sgt. Nathaniel Loomis died on 2 August 1758 at Bolton, CT, at age 63.

     Dorothy Loomis was born on 30 April 1722. She was the daughter of Sgt. Nathaniel Loomis and Ann Allyn. Dorothy Loomis married Ebenezer Hayden, son of Ebenezer Hayden and Mindwell Griswold, on 16 July 1752.¹

     Ebenezer Hayden was born on 14 December 1709.² He was the son of Ebenezer Hayden and Mindwell Griswold. Ebenezer Hayden married Mary Trumbull on 16 June 1737.² Ebenezer Hayden married Dorothy Loomis, daughter of Sgt. Nathaniel Loomis and Ann Allyn, on 16 July 1752.² Ebenezer Hayden died on 25 December 1788 at age 79.³

     Mary Trumbull married Ebenezer Hayden, son of Ebenezer Hayden and Mindwell Griswold, on 16 June 1737.¹

     Mindwell Hayden was born in 1713. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Hayden and Mindwell Griswold.
