     Penelope Garrett was born on 2 March 1781. She was the daughter of John Garrett II and Mary Case.

     Diadamia Garrett was born on 28 May 1786. She was the daughter of John Garrett II and Mary Case. Diadamia Garrett married Hon. James Humphrey, son of Deacon Theophilus Humphrey and Hepzibah Cornish. Diadamia Garrett died on 20 March 1852 at age 65.¹

     Anthony D. Alderman was born in 1846.¹ He was the son of Sylvester Phelps Alderman and Hannah Bell.¹

     Waite Garrett was born on 29 June 1789. He was the son of John Garrett II and Mary Case. Waite Garrett died on 7 April 1885 at age 95.

     Abimar Garrett died young. Abimar Garrett was born on 1 August 1791. Abimar Garrett was the child of John Garrett II and Mary Case.

     Amanda Garrett married William Spencer. Amanda Garrett was born on 16 October 1793. She was the daughter of John Garrett II and Mary Case.

     William Spencer married Amanda Garrett, daughter of John Garrett II and Mary Case.

     Thede Garrett was born on 23 February 1796. She was the daughter of John Garrett II and Mary Case.

     Aaron Rice was born on 21 November 1801. He was the son of Richard Rice and Hannah Buttles. Aaron Rice married Zilpah Holcombe, daughter of Amasa Holcombe and Ruth Hoskins. Aaron Rice died on 3 December 1882 at age 81.

     Richard Rice married Hannah Buttles.

     Hannah Buttles was also known as Hannah Buttolph.¹ She married Richard Rice.

     Lucretia Case married Lee Edgerton, son of Jacob Edgerton and Nancy Lee. Lucretia Case was born in December 1797 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT. She was the daughter of Simeon Case Jr. and Violet Burr. Lucretia Case died on 11 January 1885 at West Granby, Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 87.

     Lee Edgerton married Lucretia Case, daughter of Simeon Case Jr. and Violet Burr. Lee Edgerton was born on 11 December 1794. He was the son of Jacob Edgerton and Nancy Lee. Lee Edgerton died on 4 March 1875 at age 80.

     Dorcas Case was born on 23 September 1793 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Sgt. Richard Case and Jemima Moore. Dorcas Case married Ezra Case, son of Ezra Case and Mehitable (?), in April 1812 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Dorcas Case died on 26 September 1846 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 53.

     Tirzah Case was born on 21 January 1818 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ezra Case and Dorcas Case. Tirzah Case married Miles Edgerton, son of Lee Edgerton and Lucretia Case, on 17 September 1839 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT. Tirzah Case died in June 1866 at age 48.

     Miles Edgerton was the son of Lee Edgerton and Lucretia Case. Miles Edgerton married Tirzah Case, daughter of Ezra Case and Dorcas Case, on 17 September 1839 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT.

     This Ruth is apparently incorrectly placed here, or this is not the Ruth that married Peter Mills.

Let me quote directly from Helen Ullmann, page 25.:

"While E. & E. Loomis say she was the child born at Windsor 27 December 1698 to Thomas and Hannah (Porter) Loomis (WV), Donald L. Jacobus concluded that Peter's wife was more likely the daughter of Benjamin and Ann (Fitch) Loomis. Ann Fitch was the daughter of Capt. Joseph and Mary (Stone) Fitch of Windsor, and this name Stone in Ruth's ancestry would account for the use of the name for a son."

Helen goes on to list deeds and other evidence to support this conclusion.
Ruth Loomis was born on 27 December 1698. She was the daughter of Thomas Loomis and Hannah Porter.

     Peter Mills was born on 12 April 1701 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Peter Mills and Joanna Porter. Peter Mills married Ruth Loomis, daughter of Benjamin Loomis and Ann Fitch, on 1 February 1726/27 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Peter Mills died on 30 October 1770 at age 69.

     The following DAR members claim Gideon as their patriot: 21251, 55908, 59459 and 105615. Helen Ullmann cites Simsbury Vital Records, Connecticut State Library Inscriptions, Connecticut Public Records, Canton Church Records, Barkhamstead Chruch Records, Simsbury Deeds and other sources. Gideon Mills was born on 16 October 1749 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Rev. Gideon Mills and Elizabeth Higley. Gideon Mills married Ruth Humphrey, daughter of Hon. Oliver Humphrey and Sarah Garrett, probably 1771. Gideon Mills died on 15 March 1813 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 63. He was buried at Center Cemetery, Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT.

     Samuel Mills was born on 22 June 1752 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Rev. Gideon Mills and Elizabeth Higley. Samuel Mills married Sarah Gilpin, daughter of Thomas Gilpin and Ann Caldwell, on 28 May 1778. Samuel Mills married Rebecca Belden, daughter of Col. John Belden and Rebeckah Reynolds, on 27 February 1798. Samuel Mills married Catherine Seymour, daughter of Moses Seymour and Rachel Goodwin, on 1 June 1802 at Newington Parish. Samuel Mills died on 17 February 1814 at typhus fever at age 61. He was buried at Old Town House Hill Cemetery, Chester, Middlesex Co., CT.

Helen Ullmann cites the Chester Church Records, the Connecticut State Library Inscriptions, Wethersfield Vital Records, the Newington Parish Records, among others.

     Helen Ullmann cites as sources on Elizabeth and her family the Connecticut State Library Inscriptions on Headstones, and the Simsbury Vital Records. Elizabeth Mills was born on 5 February 1754. She was the daughter of Rev. Gideon Mills and Elizabeth Higley. Elizabeth Mills married Gideon Curtis, son of Peter Curtis, circa 1773. Elizabeth Mills married Rev. Rufus Hawley, son of Timothy Hawley and Rachel Forward, on 13 November 1798 at West Avon Congregational Church, West Avon, CT. Elizabeth Mills died on 1 July 1825 at age 71. She was buried at West Avon Cemetery, Avon, Hartford Co., CT.

     Gideon Curtis was born in 1751. He was the son of Peter Curtis. Gideon Curtis married Elizabeth Mills, daughter of Rev. Gideon Mills and Elizabeth Higley, circa 1773. Gideon Curtis died on 8 June 1789. He was buried at North Canton Cemetery, North Canton, Hartford Co., CT.

     Rev. Rufus Hawley was born on 21 February 1740/41 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Timothy Hawley and Rachel Forward. Rev. Rufus Hawley was graduated in 1767 at Yale, New Haven, New Haven Co., CT. He married Elizabeth Mills, daughter of Rev. Gideon Mills and Elizabeth Higley, on 13 November 1798 at West Avon Congregational Church, West Avon, CT. Rev. Rufus Hawley died on 6 January 1826 at West Avon, CT, at age 84.

     Infant Curtis died in 1773 or 1774. Infant Curtis was the child of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills.

     Gideon married an adopted daughter of Capt. Sweet of Norfolk. Gideon Curtis was born on 18 November 1776 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills. Gideon Curtis married Ruth Day circa 1808 at Norfolk, Litchfield Co., CT. Gideon Curtis died on 3 April 1847 at Owego, Tioga Co., NY, at age 70.

     Solomon Curtis was born March 2 or 20 or 26, 1778. He was the son of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills. Solomon Curtis married Chloe Eggleston, daughter of Samuel Eggleston.

     Chloe Eggleston was the daughter of Samuel Eggleston. Chloe Eggleston married Solomon Curtis, son of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills.

     Drayton married a "lady educated by the Moravians." Drayton Mills Curtis was born October 7, 1783 or 1782. He was the son of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills.

     Norman Curtis was born on 20 February 1785. He was the son of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills.

     Elizabeth Curtis married Thomas Gleason. Elizabeth Curtis was born on 9 February 1788. She was the daughter of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills.

     Thomas Gleason married Elizabeth Curtis, daughter of Gideon Curtis and Elizabeth Mills.

     Elihu Case was born on 20 February 1754 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Reuben Case and Ruth Goodrich. Elihu Case married Freelove Burr, daughter of Nathaniel Burr and Hannah Loomis, on 7 May 1778.

     Chauncey Case was born in 1800. He was the son of Elihu Case and Freelove Burr. Chauncey Case married Amelia W. Thomas. Chauncey Case died in 1858.

     Amelia W. Thomas married Chauncey Case, son of Elihu Case and Freelove Burr.

     Deacon Darius Case was born on 9 July 1757 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Reuben Case and Ruth Goodrich. Deacon Darius Case married Hepzibah Foote on 21 October 1779 at Wintonbury Church, Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Hepzibah Foote was born in February 1762 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She married Deacon Darius Case, son of Reuben Case and Ruth Goodrich, on 21 October 1779 at Wintonbury Church, Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Polly Case was born on 3 June 1786 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Deacon Darius Case and Hepzibah Foote. Polly Case died on 9 January 1825 at Gloversville, Fulton Co., NY, at age 38.

     Matilda Case was born on 1 July 1805 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Gideon Case and Temperence Miner.

     Philo Mills was the son of Roswell Mills and Eleanor Porter.
