     Aurelia Spring was born on 2 September 1773.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Spring and Mary Gossard.¹ Aurelia Spring married Nathan Goddard, son of Nathan Goddard and Roseanna Hayes, on 19 February 1797.^1,2 Aurelia Spring died on 27 July 1844 at age 70.^1,2

Some records show her as marrying Warren (Warner) Farnum, but his is beliefed to be in eror and caused by confusion between Marilla Holcomb and this Marilla Dewey. ²

     Martha Goddard was born on 16 December 1802 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of John Goddard and Zilpah Holcombe.¹ Martha Goddard married Joab Goddard, son of Rufus Goddard and Mindwell Cossitt.¹ Martha Goddard died on 17 June 1863 at Portage Co., OH, at age 60.¹ She was buried at Hartzell Cemetery, Deerfield Twp., Portage Co., OH.¹

There is a record of a Hilpah Gossard, b. 16 Feb 1807 in Granby. this is probably this child, named for her mother, Zilpah, the name being misspelled in the records, or misinterpreted in transcription. ²

Goddard indicates that Lucy died young and that Edith died unmarried, but both were still alive as of 1880.
