     Electa A. Brown was born on 29 April 1805 at Schoharie Co., NY.¹ She married Rollin Viets, son of Jesse Viets and Dolly Sacket (?), on 2 December 1831 at Conneaut, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ Electa A. Brown died on 20 September 1884 at age 79.¹

     Elliot Winfield Viets was born on 28 July 1839 at Conneaut, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Rollin Viets and Electa A. Brown.¹ Elliot Winfield Viets married Elvira Simpson on 12 January 1876.¹ Elliot Winfield Viets died on 20 May 1917 at Colfax, Dunn Co., WI, at age 77.¹

     Emma Belzina Kulbeck was born on 4 November 1880 at Chippewa, WI.¹ She married Ralph Siimpson Viets, son of Elliot Winfield Viets and Elvira Simpson, on 1 August 1904.¹ Emma Belzina Kulbeck died on 20 March 1943 at Eau Claire, Eau Claire Co., WI, at age 62.¹

     Rolen Goddard was born circa 1825 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Joab Goddard and Martha Goddard.¹ Rolen Goddard married Aramantha A. Mary on 11 August 1851 at Ravenna, Portage Co., OH.¹

     Lyman Hervey Cowdery was born on 23 November 1826 at LeRoy, Genesee Co., NY. He was the son of Warren A. Cowdery and Patience Simmonds. Lyman Hervey Cowdery married Sarah H. Holmes on 30 August 1849 at Kirtland, Lake Co., OH.¹ Lyman Hervey Cowdery died on 24 March 1906 at Rochester, Monroe Co., NY, at age 79.

Cook on 1 January 1863 at Clarendon Twp., Orleans Co., NY.¹ Erastus Clifton Goddard died on 20 January 1928 at Unionville, OH, at age 90.¹

     Nancie E. Cook was born on 26 January 1835 at Bergen, NY.¹ She married Erastus Clifton Goddard, son of Ranny Goddard and Lucy Rawdon, on 1 January 1863 at Clarendon Twp., Orleans Co., NY.¹ Nancie E. Cook died on 2 November 1892 at Unionville, OH, at age 57.¹

     Sarah Elizabeth Bass also went by the name of Sally Bass.¹ She was born on 31 October 1834 at East Orange, NY.¹ She married Warren Jarvis Holcombe, son of Zophar Holcombe and Lucy Goddard.¹ Sarah Elizabeth Bass died in April 1917 at Watson, Atchison Co., MO, at age 82.¹ She was buried at Correctionville, Woodbury Co., IA.¹

     David Andrew Casassa Jr. was born on 20 October 1950 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of David Andrew Casassa and Mary McCullough.¹ David Andrew Casassa Jr. died on 14 February 2004 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 53.¹

David Andrew Casassa, Jr., 53, of Granby beloved husband of Susan (Moulton) Casassa and loving and devoted father of Dylan M. Casassa and Caitlin M. Casassa died peacefully Saturday, (February 14, 2004) at Hartford Hospital after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Born in Hartford on October 20, 1950, son of the late David A. Casassa, Sr. and Mary (McCullough) Casassa.


He graduated from Granby Memorial High School in 1969 and received an associates degree from Northwestern Community College. David was employed at the Granby Public Works Dept. for 26 years. A cross country runner in high school he held many records and was an avid runner with his wife in the McLean Game Refuge and in local road races including the Boston Marathon. A devoted father he coached in the Granby little league, soccer league and girl's softball league. He was a talented builder and woodworker having built his family home and barn on their property and also made many pieces of furniture for their home. An avid outdoorsman he loved his home, flower and vegetable gardens that he planted and maintained, as well as cross country skiing with his family on their property. David attended with his wife and family the First Congregational Church in Granby.


Besides his beloved wife Susan and son Dylan and daughter Caitlin he leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Rita Casassa of Granby; a brother-in-law, Carlton Holcomb of Norfolk; his father-in-law, Frank Moulton of Florida; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ed Guarco of Granby; and nieces and nephews Courtney Casassa, Brittany Casassa, Kailey Casassa, Bart Holcomb, Arber Holcomb, Zack Holcomb, and Cathy Guarco. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Susan Holcomb. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 18, at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 219 North Granby Rd., Granby with the Rev. Daniel Schroeder officiating. His family will receive friends Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m. at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, (PanCan) 2221 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 131, El Segundo, CA 90245.

     Lucy Prescott was born on 24 April 1757 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA.² She was the daughter of Dr. Abel Prescott and Abigail Brigham.³ Lucy Prescott married Jonathan Fay Jr., son of Jonathan Fay and Joanna Phillips, on 6 December 1776 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA.¹ Lucy Prescott died on 10 October 1792 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 35.²
