     Ozelle Roland was born in 1922. She was the daughter of John Edward Roland and Beatrice Pearl Holcombe.

     McPherson references back to page 166.2 for Wilfred, but there is no connection, unless he is the brother of William Kirby. George Wilfred Masterson was born in 1889. He was the son of Unknown Masterson. George Wilfred Masterson married Sarah Louise Holcombe, daughter of Francis Morris Holcombe and Alice Melissa Wright, in 1911.¹ George Wilfred Masterson died in 1940.

     Hazel Viola Masterson was born on 22 August 1914. She was the daughter of George Wilfred Masterson and Sarah Louise Holcombe. Hazel Viola Masterson died on 27 July 1946 at age 31.

     Russell Wilfred Masterson was born on 22 June 1916. He was the son of George Wilfred Masterson and Sarah Louise Holcombe. Russell Wilfred Masterson died on 16 May 1982 at age 65.

     Lloyd George Masterson was born on 1 May 1918. He was the son of George Wilfred Masterson and Sarah Louise Holcombe.

     Ernest Morris Masterson was born on 6 February 1920. He was the son of George Wilfred Masterson and Sarah Louise Holcombe. Ernest Morris Masterson died on 11 June 1985 at age 65.

     Stanley Kerby Masterson was born on 11 May 1923 at St. Catharines, Lincoln County (now Niagara), Ontario, Canada. He was the son of George Wilfred Masterson and Sarah Louise Holcombe. Stanley Kerby Masterson died on 8 January 1994 at age 70.

     Glenn Roy Masterson was born on 15 January 1926. He was the son of George Wilfred Masterson and Sarah Louise Holcombe. Glenn Roy Masterson died on 8 June 1975 at age 49.

     Elise Grace Shelby was born on 4 February 1903. She married Erle Arnold Francis Holcombe, son of Francis Morris Holcombe and Alice Melissa Wright.

     Francis, flight Sgt. RCAF, India, since 19 years old, served first in England, where he had to have 45 trips over enemy territory before being admitted to the squadron going to the East (India, etc.) With the squadron he flew a bomber from England, landing at Malta, Cairo, Egypt, Iraq, Persia and other stops. He was killed overseas, acting in this service. Francis William Holcombe was born on 24 August 1921 at St. Catherines, Welland Co., Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Erle Arnold Francis Holcombe and Elise Grace Shelby.

     Beatrice Elsa Holcombe was born on 6 July 1923 at St. Catherines, Welland Co., Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Erle Arnold Francis Holcombe and Elise Grace Shelby.

     Lois Genevieve Holcombe was born on 7 November 1929 at St. Catherines, Welland Co., Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Erle Arnold Francis Holcombe and Elise Grace Shelby.

     Arnold Erle Holcombe was born on 15 July 1931 at St. Catherines, Welland Co., Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Erle Arnold Francis Holcombe and Elise Grace Shelby.

     Ellen Richardson was born on 18 July 1827. She married Jeptha Holcombe, son of Drayton Holcombe and Keturah Skinner. Ellen Richardson died on 1 February 1882 at age 54.

     Orpha Holcombe was born in 1848. She was the daughter of Jeptha Holcombe and Ellen Richardson. Orpha Holcombe died in 1923.

     Olive Keturah Holcombe was born on 24 November 1851. She was the daughter of Jeptha Holcombe and Ellen Richardson. Olive Keturah Holcombe married Albert Strawn on 31 July 1865.

     Cynthia Holcombe was born on 8 October 1853. She was the daughter of Jeptha Holcombe and Ellen Richardson.

     William Oscar Holcombe was born on 16 February 1857. He was the son of Jeptha Holcombe and Ellen Richardson. William Oscar Holcombe married Margaret Elizabeth Bradley. William Oscar Holcombe died on 16 June 1922 at age 65.

     McPherson notes that Julia married but had no children. Julia Holcombe was the daughter of Jeptha Holcombe and Ellen Richardson.

     David Holcombe was born on 29 January 1862. He was the son of Jeptha Holcombe and Ellen Richardson. David Holcombe married Gunda Olstead. David Holcombe died on 9 March 1938 at age 76.

     Harry Martin Rand was born in 1867. He was the son of Henry C. Rand and Nancy McMackin. Harry Martin Rand married Lora Z. Holcombe, daughter of Delorna Marcus Holcombe and Jane Hulburt, in 1887.

     Pearl Lora Rand was born at Madison, Lake Co., OH. She was the daughter of Harry Martin Rand and Lora Z. Holcombe. Pearl Lora Rand married Murray Cowdery Goddard, son of Jay Cook Goddard and Laura Cowdery, on 26 June 1914.³ Pearl Lora Rand died in 1969 at FL.³

     Murray Cowdery Goddard was born on 12 July 1889 at Perry, Lake Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Jay Cook Goddard and Laura Cowdery.² Murray Cowdery Goddard married Pearl Lora Rand, daughter of Harry Martin Rand and Lora Z. Holcombe, on 26 June 1914.¹ Murray Cowdery Goddard died on 8 December 1980 at Largo, FL, at age 91.¹

     Henry C. Rand was born in 1830. He married Nancy McMackin in 1851. Henry C. Rand died in 1906.

     Nancy McMackin was born in 1834. She married Henry C. Rand in 1851. Nancy McMackin died in 1878.

     William Augustus Allen was born in 1818. He was the son of Truman Allen and Susanna Holcombe. William Augustus Allen married Elizabeth Rice Stevens in 1842. William Augustus Allen married Harriet Laura Kendall. William Augustus Allen died on 16 February 1899.²

     Elizabeth's birth is given as 1820 in the DAR record, which seems more likely for someone marrying in 1842 and giving birth in 1843 than the 1826 in the BGCC. May have been a mis-reading of the gravestone. Elizabeth Rice Stevens was born in 1820; DAR Vol. XCVIII:Pg 272/Item 97875. She was born on 6 June 1826.¹ She married William Augustus Allen, son of Truman Allen and Susanna Holcombe, in 1842. Elizabeth Rice Stevens died on 25 April 1847 at age 20.¹

     Henry W. Allen was born in 1847. He was the son of William Augustus Allen and Elizabeth Rice Stevens. Henry W. Allen married Emma F. Johnson in 1869.

     Emma F. Johnson was born in 1846. She married Henry W. Allen, son of William Augustus Allen and Elizabeth Rice Stevens, in 1869. Emma F. Johnson died in 1880.

     Grace Elizabeth Allen was born at Chicago, Cook Co., IL. She was the daughter of Henry W. Allen and Emma F. Johnson. Grace Elizabeth Allen was a member at DAR; 97875, Washington, DC.

     Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe was born on 2 May 1809 at Lewis, Essex Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe and Martha Barber. Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe married Sarah Duntley in 1833 at Essex Co., NY. Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe died on 2 April 1881 at IA at age 71.^1,3

DAR Lineage Book, Vol. CIII:Pg 152/Item 102495, gives the birth as 1808 and death as 1880.

In 1853, the family moved n to Grove Township, Shelby Co., IA, where Oliver eventually became a county clerk. He was also a Mormon.

     Sarah Duntley was born on 12 March 1809 at NY.¹ She married Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe, son of Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe and Martha Barber, in 1833 at Essex Co., NY. Sarah Duntley died on 25 October 1864 at age 55.

     Zoroaster taught, served as county clerk andtreasurer, his longest occupation being as farmer. Zoroaster Burgess Holcombe was born on 11 February 1834 at Essex Co., NY. He was the son of Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe and Sarah Duntley. Zoroaster Burgess Holcombe married Eunice Elizabeth Hankins, daughter of Luke Hankins and Margaret (?), on 12 January 1859. Zoroaster Burgess Holcombe died on 6 May 1922 at Clay Center, NE, at age 88.

     Eunice Elizabeth Hankins was born on 11 November 1840. She was the daughter of Luke Hankins and Margaret (?) Eunice Elizabeth Hankins married Zoroaster Burgess Holcombe, son of Oliver Ellsworth Holcombe and Sarah Duntley, on 12 January 1859.

     There is a little confusion in McPherson. McPherson lists Margaret's husband as Edward WILSON, son of George and Sarah (Orr).

Margaret's DAR papers show her husband to be Edward W. Orr.

McPherson names all of their children Wilson. Margaret Sarah Holcombe was born on 22 April 1865 at Shelby Co., IA. She was the daughter of Zoroaster Burgess Holcombe and Eunice Elizabeth Hankins. Margaret Sarah Holcombe was a member in 1913 at DAR; 102495, Washington, DC.

     Calphernia Holcombe was born on 14 November 1819 at Vinton, Gallia Co., OH. She was the daughter of General Samuel Robert Holcombe and Sarah Ewing.³ Calphernia Holcombe married Liinza A. Macomber, son of Alexander Macomber and Esther Rinderson, on 6 July 1837 at Gallia Co., OH.⁴ Calphernia Holcombe died on 19 June 1867 at Gallia Co., OH, at age 47. She was buried at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Gallia Co., OH.⁵

     Liinza A. Macomber was also known as Lindsey Mccomber. He was born on 23 June 1818. He was the son of Alexander Macomber and Esther Rinderson.¹ Liinza A. Macomber married Calphernia Holcombe, daughter of General Samuel Robert Holcombe and Sarah Ewing, on 6 July 1837 at Gallia Co., OH.² Liinza A. Macomber died on 21 October 1893 at Vinton, Gallia Co., OH, at age 75.^1,3 He was buried at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Gallia Co., OH.¹

     Artha Macomber was also known as Arthalinza Mccomber. She was born in 1849. She was the daughter of Liinza A. Macomber and Calphernia Holcombe. Artha Macomber married Henry H. Metcalf in 1867. Artha Macomber died in 1912 at Delaware Co., OH.³

     Henry H. Metcalf was born in 1847. He married Artha Macomber, daughter of Liinza A. Macomber and Calphernia Holcombe, in 1867.

     Mary Dale Metcalf was born at Centerville, Montgomery Co., OH. She was the daughter of Henry H. Metcalf and Artha Macomber. Mary Dale Metcalf was a member in 1913 at DAR; 104352, Washington, DC.

     John Hornsby Holcombe was born on 22 August 1812 at NY.² He was the son of Rev. Asahel Holcombe and Phoebe Sweet. John Hornsby Holcombe married Abigail Cummings on 14 August 1834 at Greene, Chenango Co., NY.³ John Hornsby Holcombe died on 27 October 1880 at Annin Creek, McKean Co., PA, at age 68.² He was buried at Annin Cemetery, Turtlepoint, McKean Co., PA.^4,5

John lived in Chenango Co., NY and moved to McKean Co., Pa., in 1841.

     Maria Parmelia Holcombe was born on 12 July 1831. She was the daughter of Asahel Seymour Holcombe and Celestia Thurston. Maria Parmelia Holcombe married Jacob Larrabee, son of Ebenezer Larrabee and Lucinda Kanpp, in 1850.

     Robert S. Holcombe was born on 8 August 1841. He was the son of Asahel Seymour Holcombe and Celestia Thurston. Robert S. Holcombe married Caroline Lackore in 1867. Robert S. Holcombe died in 1901.

Robert and Caroline were enumerated in the 1880 Portville, Cattaraugus Co., NY federal census. He was a farmer age 38, she was 33. Children in the household were Jennie 10, Charles 8, Adrian W. 6, and Aseneth 4.
