     Thomas Brigham was born circa 1603 at England.¹ He married Mercy (?) circa 1641.¹ Thomas Brigham died on 8 December 1653 at Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MA.¹

Ebenezer Cowles died on 16 August 1827 at Norfolk, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 76.

Daniel Case and Elizabeth Humphrey, on 7 May 1797 at Norfolk, Litchfield Co., CT. Marcia Cowles died on 2 January 1853 at Onondaga, NY, at age 79.

     Ruth Virginia Harding was born on 5 April 1910 at OH.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. George Tryon Harding Jr. and Elsie Weaver. Ruth Virginia Harding died on 13 May 1995 at age 85.¹ She was buried in 1996 at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, San Bernardino Co., CA.¹

     Ensign Samuel Humphrey was born on 17 May 1686 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Lt. Samuel Humphrey and Mary Mills. Ensign Samuel Humphrey married Hannah Phelps, daughter of Joseph Phelps and Mary Collier, on 23 February 1709/10. Ensign Samuel Humphrey married Mary Tuller, daughter of John Tuller and Elizabeth Case, on 26 February 1712/13 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Ensign Samuel Humphrey married Lydia North in December 1714. Ensign Samuel Humphrey married Mary Orton on 31 October 1731. Ensign Samuel Humphrey died on 16 October 1759 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 73.^3,2 He was buried at Oviatt Family Cemetery, Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT.²

About 1739 Samuel removed with his wife and younger children from Simsbury to Goshen, and settled upon a tract of land he had bid off at New Haven 9 March 1738. This land was located in the north part of town where he and his sons gave the name to the road on which they lived, it having been known as long as kept open, and till within a few years, as "Humphrey Lane." He and his last wife were members of the Episcopal Church and the first services of that church were held at their house.⁴

     Col. George Humphrey was born on 11 November 1756 at West Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ezekiel Humphrey and Elizabeth Pettibone. Col. George Humphrey married Elizabeth Pettibone, daughter of Capt. Abraham Pettibone and Jerusha Pinney, on 7 August 1777.² Col. George Humphrey married Rachel Humphrey, daughter of Hon. Oliver Humphrey and Sarah Garrett, on 5 June 1785.²

     Elizabeth Humphrey was born circa 1750. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Humphrey and Elizabeth Pettibone. Elizabeth Humphrey married Lt. Daniel Case, son of Sgt. Daniel Case and Mary Watson, in 1771. Elizabeth Humphrey died on 28 May 1808.

     Daniel Case was born on 20 August 1775 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Lt. Daniel Case and Elizabeth Humphrey. Daniel Case married Marcia Cowles, daughter of Ebenezer Cowles and Mercy Barber, on 7 May 1797 at Norfolk, Litchfield Co., CT. Daniel Case died on 20 October 1840 at Onondaga, NY, at age 65.

     Artemesia Holcombe was born in 1841. She was the daughter of Larmon Holcombe and Hilpah Freelove Griffin. Artemesia Holcombe died on 20 November 1842.
